Our 9yo started at The Coder School about 6mo ago and is now coding in Python. I personally know nothing about coding but I have been sharing my son’s weekly progress reports with a family member who is a programmer, and that person is extremely impressed with what our son is working on and learning. Most importantly, our son loves the class, loves his instructor, and is having a ton of fun.

My son has been attending coding classes at the Walnut Creek location and he absolutely loves it. The folks there are very nice, knowledgeable and professional. Warm greetings and receptive attitude. The coaches have the required experience and expertise with the kids. The kids are even compensated with coins that earn them points as a way to compensate them with an achievement. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone who wants to have their children to attend coding class

My 7yo son has been going to Coder School for about 3mo. So far he loves being able to build Minecraft & Pokemon games. The information is over my head so cannot comment on the quality. The instructors are nice and very helpful. Most importantly my son enjoys the class and we don’t have to fight about attendance.

Update: we haven’t had any issues with billing for 6 months now. Kids still enjoy attending the class.

Great experience for the kids. McGrail and Brynne are also very helpful being flexible with our schedule. Initially, we had some issues with the billing that took longer than expected to resolve but it was taken care of by the staff.

Clean, well-run and responsive teachers and staff. My son has learned a lot about coding and website creation. It’s nice to have an attentive teacher as other coding schools we have tried didn’t give as personalized of an experience. We would highly recommended them!

We love theCoderSchool!
My 9 year old son started 1:1 lessons there 6 months ago (he is shy, so I thought 1:1 would be good for him to start with that). He LOVES it! I hear him bragging to his friends about what he is learning there. He comes home so excited to show the family what he can do. He has made a bond with his coach (coach Ethan) It has made a big impression on my son. Thank you! We love the positive energy when we walk in the door there. My younger daughter is already asking when she can start coding lessons there so soon we will have 2 students there!

My son really enjoys his weekly coding lessons. He usually gets his “regular “ instructor which is great for consistency. Sometimes I ask him what he did in class and he says “not much, waited for program to load”. But then I get report from teacher and they covered a lot! Just goes to show what a 10 year old remembers.

Our boy/girl twins started Coder School at the age of 11. They attend the Walnut Creek location for about a year now and absolutely love it! They told me they wished we had put them in at an earlier age. The staff and instructors are friendly, fun and accommodating. This is one class I don’t have to drag my kids to. They look forward to it every week.
