One of the biggest mistakes we made in our boating life, is to keep our boat temporarily in Berkeley Marina(part of Alameda county) for a few days in early 2022, while waiting for a slip elsewhere. We had nothing to do with Alameda county since early 2022. As of October 2023, we are still dealing with tax bills from this office. We responded to every single bill trying to correct the records. After several months of back and forth, we were told that our account was finally closed. But, yesterday, out of nowhere we received a notice of tax lien. It has been extremely frustrating to with deal with a situation that feels like tax harassment. There were a couple of people from this office who were pleasant to work with, but somehow the situation never gets resolved.

Hire new people? They keep saying they’re going to send the bill for past missed payment but never receive anything? While interest rates keep going up!!!!! People learn how to use a computer and do things on your own this people are getting worst.

I LIKE THE system you had in place years ago much better . If we owed past years taxes we were asked to pay this first . If we don't realize we owe past years taxes we could lose our homes .
