I take my grandpa to Dr Ngoc’s office for his eye problems. Dr. Ngoc is very nice. Some of the staff and front desk ladies are nice as well but they talk very loud and gossip about other patients. Dr. Ngoc’s assistant has questionable methods. He talks very loud in the patient rooms but doesn’t close the door so you can hear everything in the waiting room. Sometimes there are multiple patients in the same patient room. It is not private at all. When he administers eye exams, he will tell my grandpa what the letters are if my grandpa cannot see the letter (“you can’t see the E?”). Of course at that point my grandpa will know what the letter is if you tell him even though he cannot see it. Dr. Ngoc needs to manage her staff better. They are very unprofessional and probably are violating HIPAA.

The office is also not sanitary at all, both during pandemic and after pandemic. The doctor and staff do not sanitize the equipment between patient use. They immediately use it for the next patient. I wonder if they ever clean the equipment at all. Dr. Ngoc put some gel eye ointment on my grandpa’s eye directly from the tube. It’s disgusting to think that she has used it on other patient’s eyes before using it on my grandpa, and then use it on other patients after my grandpa without sanitary measures. As an eye doctor, I would expect more sanitary practices since what she does can cause infection.

Wait times are also very long. You can be in the waiting room for over an hour before you get called in. What’s the point of having the appointment time if they don’t see you in a timely manner?

I do not recommend this office but we have no choice but to go here due to the limited ophthalmologist doctors in the area.

The office environment was so loud. All front desk ladies talked and laughed so loud besides calling to remind patients' appointments. They didn't concentrate to work, but when old patients asked for helping to fill out some papers. They refused!
Another thing, doctors tried to talk so loud in little rooms to old patients because they had hearing problems. Doctors should close doors to keep patients' privacy. The another doctor, not Dr. Ngoc Nguyen, tried to pick in-grown eye lashes for my mom. She just took out a twizzer from her pocket without sanitizer. After she twizzed eye- lashes out, she put it back to her pocket. I doubted, she would use it again to other patients.
Over all, Dr. Ngoc was nice, but bad management!

Worst eye doctor we've seen in our life. My father had issue on the left eye, and on the surgery day, she was confused and almost performed surgery operation on my dad's right eye. Unbelievable.

The honesty is alway at the top of my list plus friendly. I wish for music and more Vietnamese articles and news while in the waiting room or VN tv channel even better
