I recently attended a birthday party here. I didn’t know you could do this. I think it’s amazing that if you are looking for a good place to host a small group of kids you can get a room and watch a movie. Wishing them continued success.

The staff in the children's section downstairs are always very helpful and always willing to help locate items when asked. I really like the set up downstairs. Lots of big comfy bean bags for the kids to curl up with a book. My children also like that they can put on their own pupprt show.

Building is beautiful. The childrens library wss upgraded and has computers, wii, puppet theatre, reading cubes and more to entertain. We love checking out games to play.

I actually like the maquoketa library which I usually don't like libraries. The computers they have are updated every couple months or so when Microsoft has updates for the any type of new windows versions. Plus you can have copies made there for about 15¢ a copy which is the best price in town. Free Wi-Fi while you are there if you are waiting for a pc or just reading a book or magazines. Or just killing time trying to find out info about Maquoketa history. Just call ahead to make sure you get your time slot scheduled because of the Covid 19 pandemic. If you have not been there I suggest you go to see everything they offer. Plus you can also send faxes and if you are close enough to the library you can send the library sprinter from your smart phone to have it printed the next business day.
