In my opinion a newspaper should talk about positive, up lifting news not town gossip. It’s supposed to be something that you can read with your morning cup of coffee that makes you proud of Sac City being on the map. I recently read about a personal issue that is going on in MY home and I was completely mortified and shocked that something so devastating to us would be printed for ALL to know. Isn’t that a invasion of a persons privacy? If printing personal information & issues that go on in people’s lives is considered Sac City news then what does it say about the people reading? I can tell you what it says to me! It says that nobody here has any kind of life of their own that they would have to read about someone else’s #1. It shows that no one here has any consideration for their neighbors feelings or privacy. AND it shows that all your really looking for is a reason to judge!
If there’s no news then make some! Why don’t people try to do community functions so that everyone can get to know each other on a positive level. This is a small town that you can make into a BIG family. I would be happy to be the 1st to volunteer in getting people together to make a little Santa’s Village type thing that the children can enjoy. Bring the people of Sac City together and show surrounding cities that this is somewhere you would love to call home.
I really hope that these ideas will be given some consideration and actually put into action.
Last but not least I want to make it a point to let anyone reading know that I don’t mean any kind of disrespect and I am definitely NOT passing judgment. I would love to get to know everyone in hopes that when I wave to you as we drive passed each other it would be a sincere gesture. Thank you.
