For me and my son, it seemed we were getting what we needed out of our appointments and walk-ins. Recently my son had gotten sick enough to where I needed him to be seen at the walk in clinic. He was seen after an hour and a half of waiting. Not the biggest issue I've ever had. What I wasn't pleased or satisfied about is that two days later my son took a turn for the worse. So I called the walk in clinic back, as I was advised to do so if this happened. My note was put in to his team he seen the day I brought him in. I waited all day long for someone to call me back with an answer to my questions. Not one return call or concern was made from anyone. No one cares enough to take two minutes to call me back. I realize it's a very busy and sick time of year. This issue is happening to not only me but nearly every single other patient needing answers. I nearly brought my son to the ER as he seemingly wasn't improving. Luckily my son made a 180 and snapped out of the illness and I didn't need to bring him in on an emergency status. This would not be such a huge deal if I wasn't told, by the doctor and nurse he seen,to call the walk in if my son was not better or getting worse. They told me to call, and not one person helped me the one day I needed some advise. Instead they called me two days later. As a parent, how am I to trust the walk in staff if they can't even keep there word about calling if my child is worse? Through the years, pella regional has slowly declined in my satisfaction with the whole place. I don't know what's going on, but something needs to change before I take me and my son else where for better care.

My family has been patients at Pella Medical Clinic for 16 years. We love our doctor and his nurse and receive excellent care. Wait times are tolerable. Once we are in an exam room, we are served well and in a timely manner. The only point of contention I have is with reception. There are times we have more than one appointment scheduled, but only receive reminders about one of them which can cause us to be late. Recently, we were trying to check in and get everything updated when the receptionist's computer locked her out. She made a comment about how that's why they ask patients to be early to register. I made it clear I thought our appointment was the next time slot which would make us early, which she verified. She and the receptionist next to her made the same comment at least twice more and I chose to keep my mouth shut and get through the process. In the meantime, our nurse was willing to take my kids into an exam room and start their appointment.Whether we were actually late or not, we were in and out of there in less than an hour for two well child visits. When asked, I always refer friends and new people in town to try and get in with our doctor and always suggest a few others at this clinic if he isn't taking new patients.

Was a great experience at first overall but as soon as my tests came back after being told I had an inflamed bile duct. And there was no blockage, they told me not to come back for like 6months. Did not even get to see the doctor after tests, to see if there was any other options or how to treat an inflamed bile duct. Was just told to come back for a physical. No further conversation, like really? The doctor told me he would refer me to a specialist if he couldn't find what was wrong but instead I was just told to come back for a physical in 6 months, is that really how doctors treat patients these days? I had high hopes for this place at first.

Horrible staff! The nurse had the gall to say my 8 year old son who had been moaning in pain since we walked it, wasn’t when she walked out there so he would need to wait while several people got called back even though we were #1 on the list! Go somewhere else! Anywhere else!! Horrible Staff!!

Imagining wanted my 82 year old mother at her appt 30 minutes early, but forgot we were there finally 10 after our appointment time the receptionist went to the imaging CT gals to remind him that we were here once they got us right in the mother was out within 10 minutes totally understand when there's an emergency or if they're extremely busy but they were not they just forgot about us. I feel this is unacceptable They offered us a $10 gift card from the gift shop which I found offensive

Born at Pella and both of my children were born there also. I had a few bad experiences with a couple of doctors but I didn't stand around and accept it. I called their superior's and told them what happened. After that good service and treatment when I encountered the physicians who I had a bad experience with previous.

Called during open hours to ask if x-ray was available. After 15 minutes on hold, was directed to the after-hours service, who could not answer the question. They were unable to have a nurse call back to answer because we do not see a provider at the clinic (we are visiting from out of town). Seems like a pretty basic question that anybody answering the phone should be able to answer.

First of all, I walked in at the walk-in clinic. The lady there chastised me because I did not make an appointment, and therefore I could be waiting for a long time because other people made appointments, and they come first. Having to make an appointment at the walk-in clinic totally defies the very concept of a WALK-IN clinic. That, and as of this writing, I walked out of the clinic an hour ago and drove to the pharmacy, only to be told that my prescriptions STILL have not been sent. Of course, there is no answer at the clinic, because, no one answers the phone after 5pm. My advice is to just curl up onto the fetal position and die before trying to be seen there.
