I've seen a lot of stores come and go. Movie theater is still the movie theater. Food court isn't terrible but not exceptional. Cell phone repair store is absolutely terrible! Everything is what it is otherwise.

It's a good place to hang-out. Nothing spectacular or outstanding. They have a decent food court and selection of stores. It could be better, but I mostly come here to walk around.

If you live in the Sioux City area I highly recommend checking out The Scoop at the Southern Hills Mall! This new ice cream place makes everything in house and you can taste it. Great flavors and unique combinations.

Southern Hills Mall once the destination of everyone in the area is now a mere shell of its self.
Gone are the stores and beauty that pulled us to the SHM. The large clock at the sears wing, the stage, fountain, and light tower in the center court in front of the old Younkers, the murals around the top the center court, the live plants and tress along the corridors of the mall.
The variety of shops are gone. Younkers, Sears, Coach House Gifts, Mr Bulkys, Peck N Peck, Walgreen's, Target, Master Cuts, Christian Book Store, Brook's Clothing, Command Performance, Happy Joe's Pizza, Bishops Cafeteria, York Steak House, Pet Land, Linda Lee's Hallmark, The Peanut Shack, Hickory Farms, Maurice's, Chess Kings, Hals, Bob Knowlers Black Night, Zales Jewelry, The Mark It Tee Shirt Shop, Alhers Clock, Stevensons, Breslers 33 Flavors, Karmelcorn, OZ game room Stuarts Hair, Red Cross Shoes, Tom McAnn Shoes, to name a few...
I hope and pray that you do not become like the old KD stockyard station, or the downtown shopping district.

Sioux City IA mall is ok don't go there to much only around Xmas time or if I need something from a store mostly park on the Scheels side and go in there and shop the mall does have a nice food court tho just went there for the fist time in like a year for some Xmas shopping stop at this awesome Mexican place zeny's huge elephant buritos worth the money
