Went in looking for a cheap phone case while I’m waiting on my other to come in the mail. Found one for 5.99, said on sale for $24 off. The phone cases hanging from it were all the same brand matching the description on the tag. Yet when I tried to buy it they told me it wasn’t on sale after showing them the tag. The manager then came over and asked “what would you like me to do about it” in an unreasonable tone. Then I told him I’d expect it to be matched to the sale price where multiple of the same case were hanging. His response was “absolutely not, you can either pay 29.99 for the case or find another.” At that point I told him Best Buy would no longer receive my business. I’ve bought many things from Best Buy over the years, now I’ll get it elsewhere, or order it online and wait the couple days

Good experience, but I went in the middle of the day and there was someone in front of me for an online pickup order. I think because he was picking up a new cell phone the transaction needed to take longer, but that should probably be handled by Geek Squad personnel, instead of whoever happens to be running the register. Most Best Buy Transactions should be 1-2 minutes. My guy with the phone needed much more time with that, to the point that the customer service desk walked across the entrance and helped me out, and I still left before the other guy.

Not a fault of a guy getting a new phone, but a suggestion to management to consider if a customer needs help setting up their purchase for an online pickup, maybe refer them to the Geek Squad Support.

As usual, I go Best Buy looking for a particular item and sure enough, it'll be there. Prices are often very reasonable. I will be back soon for a back I p camera installation, which I'm sure they will do an excellent job as I have had them do installations in the past.

When I have come here the inventory is not as good as Dimond but glad we have this location up North. Four stars because of that. The staff here however have helped me very well every time including getting me what I need from Dimond.
Recently I went in with an online order I needed returned and re ordered. Wow I was promptly helped at the door and then helped beyond well at the counter! Staff make this place good!

Was immediately greeted and escorted to the item I wanted. The same person checked me out. This review has taken more time than the check out process. Thank you for the speedy customer service.

Normally I have a good experience.

Today was totally different.

Recently I have experienced my Lenovo Legion Go, having a dropped wifi signal after prolonged gaming use. After extensively troubleshooting, I have found that the Wi-Fi chip soldered to the motherboard is defective. I decided to utilize the Totaltech Protection Plan that I have subscribed to. On June 20th 2024 I was instructed by Joe Terrell a employee, that they would need to send my device in for repair under the protection plan I subscribe to. Joe and I clearly went over the device. We both agreed that there was no damage and that the device was in like new condition. After reading the product information I can see that he intentionally put incorrect information.

He puts deceitful contradictory statements in the physical appearance.

The first statement says that the device is like new condition with no signs of any physical damage or scratches.

The next statement says there is some residue and blemishes.

The definition of blemish is:
a small mark or flaw which spoils the appearance of something.

These statements are clearly contradictory. After showing clear photos and videos to Joe and asking to fix the paperwork, he offers to get the manager.

While I wait for a manager, I can hear him coaching her (Ipo Kane) to objectively agree in tandem. I explained everything that has gone wrong up to this point. She tells me that she is going to go with what her agent stated.... even though I have crystal clear photos and video showing that I gave them a absolutely perfect in appearance device. She finally agrees to look at the video and tells me it's not going to change anything. I have included those photos in this review as reference. This store can be good, as long as you don't have to go to The Geek Squad. The lying and level of service I experienced as a long-time Elite/Totaltech member is absolutely deceitful and unprofessional.

Avoid this department like the plague?‍♂️

Do NOT purchase monitors or electronics from Best Buy, most definitely do NOT purchase their geek squad coverage. I called in advance to make an appointment where I was told they would look at my monitor even though I didn’t have coverage.
When I went in the staff member was telling me there was nothing they could do even BEFORE opening the box and looking at my monitor. Once they did pull it out and they again told me there was nothing they could do even if I had coverage (it’s an extension of the limited manufactures warranty; so if you do purchase from Best Buy you’re better off with the warranty it comes with and NOT paying the additional coverage fee).
Then they got snippy and accusatory when I said I would not be paying the $30 to recycle; I asked if they could pull out a cable I personally purchased out of the box when they were repackaging it, they assumed I was ‘abandoning it’. I clarified all I wanted was to pull my own cord out before finding the nearest dumpster to dump my piece of crap Best Buy monitor. This was my first and last purchase I’ll be making at Best Buy.
Apple’s repair coverage, return policy, and free recycling massively out perform Best Buy by far.
