We were visiting from out of town in need for a spot to hang on a rainy weekday with my two daughters. What a gem this library is! Friendly staff, a wonderful young readers area complete with a large selection of books, neat decor, a fish tank, and plenty of toys (neatly organized in bins, too). Thankful for such a lovely spot to spend our morning.

We moved to Parkersburg a year ago and really haven't traveled anywhere or explored too many places. I had to notarized something and after researching public notaries, we discovered this library does offer it for free. After arriving, my impression went wow. Out of all the libraries, this one has to be the most organized, clean, and more services than any other ones I've been too. I quicky applied for a library card so I can utilize there services which is plenty for the family. I am so thankful there is a nice quiet place to enjoy with the family.

This library is amazing. It has lots of movies, games, books, toys for kids labeled in specific bins. They do a lot of fun events and have free things you can take at the front of the library.

Growing up in Parkersburg, I took it for granted until I started traveling a lot as an adult. This is one of the nicest libraries I've been to anywhere in the country. Book selection is huge, staff is always helpful and friendly, and there is plenty of room to study/work/read.

Everyone is very nice there, the owner, Ms. Charlie, and every Librarian are very nice and kind and very helpful. Everyone I know that’s gone there has said it’s a wonderful place to be! 😀 (P.S. I am an author that put my book in there my name is Jaden and that was very proud of me when I told them I made a book and that I wanted to put my books in the library!)

I have loved this library ever since I was a kid. Large selection and variety of books, though a little heavy on the adult mysteries. They have all sorts of comic books and Japanese manga. Their cookbook section is fantastic as well. They have a very nice selection of DVDs, CDs and Blu-rays, and always have the newest season of a popular show or the latest hit movie in. Nice variety of newspapers and magazines as well. The kids room is brightly decorated and feels like a child's personal space. The place itself is always clean and in order, and they even put in new drink and snack machines downstairs after the renovation. I sometimes use the computers and I have never complained about two hours being too long or short. The Wi-Fi set up is a little confusing compared to using it at home. The staff has always been very friendly and knowledgeable about books. I usually come in about once a week to see what's new.

The library has been a great place to bring the family- there is always someone to help and if they don't carry an item , they will do what they can to obtain your request. They are quick to make available new items such as movies, books or music. Only down side is not enough hours in the day.✨😊✨

I visited the library recently only to discover, it was open only to browse books and use the computer (for 1/2 hour). You could not sit down anywhere, due to Covid-19. So, I chose two books, checked out & left. They did have the book sale going on in the lower level of the library, so that's an option. Only 5 patrons at one time admitted to the sale (Covid).
