I kept seeing the simple hand written white board specials on my Facebook feed and everything sounded so fresh. Finally got in to try it, the cranberry chicken wrap was awesome! We were pleasantly surprised at the cool atmosphere and amount of seating because there was a non stop flow of people while we were there. You know it’s good when the locals hang out there! Can’t wait to go back for more.

This place is a local favorite! Often busy but well worth the wait! Great chicken salad - my favorite though is the Lasagna and the turkey sandwich with bacon - special horseradish sauce! The soups are ALL good! Also you can buy local Wisconsin type gifts, cheese and sausage, Amazing Charcuterie Platters too!

Stopped in today totally at random while passing through. The staff was very friendly, the place was clean, and the variety of offerings was pretty impressive. The pastrami sandwich I had hit the spot, really good! Anyone concerned about how the ingredients are distributed must not patronize delis on a regular basis...this is legit.

My husband ran in to check out the cheese selection, as were on our way back to Minnesota. This was the best place to stop. Hogtied and wraps were just amazing. As well got a few cheese options to try at home. We can’t wait to visit again on our next trip!! Amazing!

The food was mediocre at best; sandwiches were not assembled with care (i.e. uneven distribution of ingredients), yet the ingredients were fresh. The employees act as if they want to quit their job and are very passive aggressive. I was on the verge of three stars but getting an order wrong cannot be rectified.

The food was not bad, could have had more flavor, I got the Cuban and the pulled pork didn't seem to be seasoned. I made the mistake of getting a fountain drink, way more than just a can. Kind of a dour experience. I felt like I was supposed to know how the system worked and they were a trifle exasperated when I needed some explanation. The ladies working were very serious, no music playing so it was sort of an uncomfortable silence the whole time I was there. Only one other person there when I was there but when I went to the register to buy a postcard ( they do have some interesting and funny Wisconsin themed gifts for sale) the woman at the register was very intent on something and ignored me for close to a minute. I finally just put a dollar on the counter and left. I like local business and might try this again as I visit mauston occasionally but it wouldn't be a priority.

Best Cranberry Chicken Salad sub I've ever had! Stopped for the first time on our way through town so didn't know what to expect. It was made just right and the bread was perfect. The Au Jus sandwich was very good as well. Picked up some local sausage and cheese from here as well. Very friendly service (from the owner I'm assuming). We will definitely be back when we're in the area. You might have to wait 15 minutes because it's made to order but it's with the wait.
