This little museum isn’t so little after all! My parents brought us here to learn the history of Mazo. The photos are absolutely beautiful and it’s amazing seeing how the town has changed over time. I especially loved all the maps that marked out the houses/gas stations/buildings that are still around from the 1800’s! I had to drive around & try to find them after our visit. It’s also pretty cool that some people live in the buildings that were once gas stations or churches. The two stand out features would be the jail located on the outside of the building and the back room that has some really cool displays & hands on interactive activities! A big thank you to all those working who were able to answer all our questions & share so much of the history with us. This museum is incredibly special & has some of the best displays we've seen! We will be recommending this museum for others to explore! (Note: The museum is free but please bring cash for donations!)

Local volunteers staff and preserve local history in mid-19th century railroad village in central Wisconsin. Open Sunday afternoons in summer and during local celebrations.
