Alicia was amazing! From the moment I walked into her studio I felt welcome and empowered! I brought a few outfits to choose from and Alicia helped me decide which one, and her help was spot on. She really tries to make you comfortable with the whole experience and lets you know you have control during the session. The makeup artist she had did an amazing job on my makeup, which helped me further feel empowered during the shoot. Alicia showed me my pictures after so I could decide which I wanted and I couldn’t believe what she had captured. I truly left the studio with a feeling of joy and disbelief by what she captured. I was smiling for hours afterwards just from what she did! I’ll definitely be going back for more!

For anyone who thinks this is out of your comfort zone like I was initially feeling - Alicia makes you feel like you're a pro. We had a lot of fun, too! At 51 years old, I never thought I'd be trying to narrow down my choices, because I liked so many of the photos!

Bonus -- your makeup will look so great on your photo shoot day, be sure to plan a date night that night! Just do it! I'm so glad I did.

Alicia is truly an amazing and talented human. Getting photos taken had me nervous but ended up being a "hey wow... that's me...I put my body through hell and it still looks like this... imagine what it'll look like when I am kind to it" moment, for which i will forever be grateful for. Alicia was absolutely amazing! From my hair and makeup, to Alicia helping find the right pieces for me to wear, and posing me…she is AMAZING!! I was super nervous and was basically shaking when I walked in the studio. When I got in the makeup chair and we started talking, all the nerves melted away. I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone during my shoot, and she made me feel so comfortable and safe! I always look at photos of myself and hate how I look…but my images are absolutely beautiful and I cannot stop looking at them.

I’m sixty years old and have come to believe that cameras are beastly. What business does someone who’s veiny, wrinkly, sun-spotted and scarred, have in front of a lens? Well, let me tell you. Alicia believed I had every right to be her photographic subject, and when I saw the images she took of me on a warm August evening, I was struck speechless. The woman in the photos was so lovely, so pretty, so real. She looked very happy and alive and I am getting choked up right now realizing how much I had been discounting my body and my face before Alicia and her camera came along. She is a gifted photographer. Her approach is both gentle and enthusiastic. She’s encouraging, conspiratorial and creative, and she works so fast, there’s simply no time to feel self-conscious. What a blast! I highly recommend for all women, but especially for anyone who thinks they aren’t “beautiful”. Ha! Just you wait!
