Absolutely the Worst Marketing Company I’ve Ever Dealt With

If I could give zero stars, I would. Townsquare Interactive has been one of the most frustrating, unprofessional companies I’ve ever worked with. The customer service is terrible, emails and calls go completely unanswered, and no one takes accountability for anything.

I had multiple urgent edits that needed to be made to my website—simple things that a competent team would handle in a day—and Townsquare dragged their feet for weeks. It felt like they were just being lazy and flat-out didn’t care. Nothing was organized. Nothing was handled with any sense of urgency or professionalism.

To make matters worse, they switched my domain info on GoDaddy without fully communicating it to me, which blocked my new marketing company from taking over and transferring my site. Because of this, I was forced to pay for another month of service I didn’t want just to get access to my own domain. That’s theft as far as I’m concerned.

Bottom line: Townsquare did not meet expectations in any way. If you value your business, your time, and your sanity—do NOT work with this company. Take the time to find a marketing company better suited to your Niche/Industry. The promises they make can seem like bright lights and diamonds but in honesty they are a little giant that just CANT, your small business deserves better.

Awful marketing company. Four hundred dollars a month for a year and they produced one job. They are terrible about returning calls. The website they built was a major pain due to their lack of knowledge in my field, (fencing). No after hours support for their shotty software. Their app is awful, Invoices disappeared constantly. You can’t add or take things off a ticket at the end of a job. The amount of scam calls they produced was quite awesome tho, literally getting about 30-40 a day now. They told me the website they built me was verified on google. Come to find out I wasn’t for almost 6 months and they refused to take anymore than a few bucks off my bill. I wouldn’t trust this company to help the local Girl Scouts sell a box of cookies let alone promote your business.

This company originally reached out to us claiming that our website source code is what was causing us to not have high ranking on SEO and that we needed to switch to them so we decided to trust them. However after further research and talking with other companies (who have our best interest and who didnt care if we paid for their service or not), we learned and confirmed that focusing on Google my business and putting a physical location were the highest leverage things we could do for our business as well as focus on reviews and update posts not the code. This company also were telling us that it’s best for us to switch off of WordPress when in reality WordPress is one of the best platforms we can use for SEO. They mislead us and are just after the money
