Our cake was amazing! Not only was it beautiful (and I barely gave her anything to go on “Dino’s and pink and blue”) but it was just as delicious! We received so many compliments on the cake. 10/10 will go back again.

Disappointed as I’ve purchased 3 cakes over the last few years and most recently ordered one for my son’s birthday party. This became a tradition for his birthday parties. However this time arrived to pick it up and found the store closed and reached out to the owner and no response. Extremely disappointed as we drove 50 minutes for the cake.

Not a large bakery, but what they lack in size they make up for in flavor. They specialize in wedding and event cakes, but they do have several pastries to indulge in. For me, hands down the scones are the highlight. They usually have a white chocolate raspberry scone and a second flavor. They are all fantastic and in my opinion, a must if you are anywhere close. They are not your typical hard triangle. They are a crumbly and flavorful.

In addition to scones, they usually have a few gourmet cookies, macaroons, cupcakes and possibly some other sweets.

Can’t recommend this place enough. And if you can’t get to Rice Lake, be on the look out for their scones at other locations, like in Chetek.

I recently hosted a milestone anniversary party. I wanted something more special than a sheet cake, and I needed it to meet my dietary restrictions. I turned to Ashley at Simply Cake Couture to see if she would be able to accommodate me. To my delight, she was willing to make a cake from the recipe I provided! Just had several flavors at a graduation party. Best cakes ever!!! Everything is fresh, tastes great, and full of fresh berries. LOVE the frosting!!!!! Decorating was done by true artists🙂

Ashley’s cookie decorating class is a blast! We booked a private class for a girls night out and everyone has a great time. Ashley pre-baked the cookies and taught us to decorate them almost as beautifully as hers - it’s trickier than it looks but ours still looked great! She is a fun teacher and the class was well-paced so we could gab and follow along. If you can, try out a class!

I recently got married and had Simple Cake Couture create different flavored ice cream cookies for my wedding. I wanted something different than your typical cake/cupcakes and Simply Cake made all my wedding dessert dreams come true :). Ashley dropped the cookies off at the venue the day before the wedding all pre-packaged. We received many compliments from guests on our dessert, especially on a hot summer night!

I randomly came upon this place while traveling for work. I ordered a six pack of cupcakes and they were $20. I thought this was a little pricey until I tried them! Literally the best tasting cupcakes I have ever had!! The place was super cute and clean too! I ordered the raspberry cheesecake, chocolate brownie and pumpkin. Will go back for sure!
