Each visit to the Arizona Informant office is an enjoyable lesson in Black history.
The Arizona Informant Newspaper is the first black owned and operated newspaper in Arizona. Their offices can easily be a black history museum with its hundreds of papers and memorabilia. For over fifty years the owners and writers have striven to keep a finger on the pulse of the black community of Phoenix and the state of Arizona. They maintain the human interest and welcome stories big and small. This makes a history, a record, and a legacy of what it means to be black in America. I have attended many of the activities advertized in the paper. Some have been sponsored by the Informant. I really enjoy my weekly subscription. It's a nominal price and easy to get on their website. I say everyone should check it out in print or online
