First of all Yesterday i had a really bad experience, I’ve been going to nogales from Phoenix since i was little but 5 years more often because dentist is so cheap. Honestly I can’t believe what happened to me yesterday afternoon worse humiliation from the border patrols the men not the two woman’s they help me out. I took my kids with me and the arrested me saying i had a warrant for my arrest from 2012 and guess what they didn’t do there job right and they mistaken me with another person like not just that yes you guys apologize but then laughed those men’s are the worse i don’t even know how they work there but thank god i’m not those type of persons. Never crossing the border in the mariposa area

We didn’t hang around, we didn’t cross, it seemed quite and non-busy. The streets are clean and not many people around.

I am glad to see the Mariposa crossing is back to 8am - 10pm. Word to the wise, Mariposa is not equipped with a Sentri lane so don't be the one who tries to jump in line 2 hours before they close on a busy holiday weekend. Plan accordingly and cross during off peak times - you will thank me.

Really I would not want their job. Cameras take pictures of vehicles people and license plates. behind the scenes someone is running those through a computer. then you get meet a Border Agent and had over Passports and the Statement things which are not allowed then the question about anything to declare. Normally we hand the last of the meat used to keep our 2 girls happy on the trip north. The idea is if you have something you purchased say you purchased something. they will ask what and the value. sometimes they ask to look not big deal. in the heat be polite and soon you will be done. towards the end of the day they are very warm and have asked hundreds of times while are only being asked once.

I have a question, am I legally allowed to bring back less than 90 “controlled substance” anxiety pills from Mexico back to Arizona? I’m prescribed anxiety meds by a doctor in Texas and recently moved to Arizona and having hard time finding doctor to prescribe same meds and wondering if I can bring Texas doctors note to Nogales stating I used to be prescribed controlled anxiety med and my conditions. Would this be ok or illegal? I would bring back less than 90 farmapram. Thanks

Had a friend who came through here fairly frequently. He complained bitterly about how pompous, officious, and offensive the US border agents were. It came to a head one day when he went through with a sealed bag of pork rinds. Apparently that’s a no no and one of the border guards on secondary snatched it from his passenger seat. It would have been cool as rules are rules but right away another officer walked up to the officer with the pork rinds in his hand and while a third looked through his stuff the other two ate the pork rinds. Now my friend always buys pork rinds. He carefully opens them and presses the against his sweaty balls and armpits etc. You get the idea. Then re seals the bag with a little gorilla glue. He then declares and loses a bag of these things every trip and chuckles all the way to Phoenix. As for my experience. Officers are rude with a few notable exceptions. The interesting part is the Latin looking ones are the worst. Surprising as you would think there was more sympathy. I don’t know why it triggers them that I’m a used book dealer but it does. I think the border patrol (if they cared and they don’t ) should send people through for quality control.
