Ropers Restaurant is a gem in Gravel Ridge!

The food is absolutely fantastic! Everything is cooked in a delicious, home-cooking style that reminds you of a meal made with love. Cute little spot for lunch! Staff were all very friendly. Clean restaurant. Hubby and the turkey sandwich and fries. He enjoyed his sandwich but the fries were a bit overcooked. I had the BLT and it was really good. Generous portions of bacon and cooked perfectly for a sandwich. I got the onion rings and they were delicious! Our kids are moving to Little Rock and we’ll be sure to tell them about Ropers!

We've been coming to Roper's for years and I realized I had never done a review on it. Shame on me! They have good comfort foods coupled with the nicest servers at reasonable prices. Great Christian atmosphere with Western decor to make anyone feel at home. Gravel Ridge's best kept secret so shhh....tell everyone!

Yee haa! Country cooking at it's best! Ate the chicken fried steak, mash taters and gravy, fried okra and sweet tea. Delicious. Asked for an extra bowl of white gravy and they didn't even blink. No charge either. Great service and the food was good and hot. Thumbs up.

We love atmosphere but the last 2/4 times we’ve been the steaks were below average. The first bad experience there, our steaks had no flavor unlike the previous 2 times but we blew it off as maybe a bad day. Then we went again today and this time there was so much hard fat and gristle that we had to try picking around it and couldn’t eat over 1/2 the steaks served to us. This was our go to date spot for a bit but I don’t think we will be back for at least a good while.

The food was amazing but the service was a little one sided. I didn't like that I put my money in the waiter's hand yet she sat mine on the counter. My hand was out to receive my change and she sat it right down on the counter beside my hand. Other than that I'll probably still return. I just know to call my order in from now on.

I understand that not every restaurant has gluten free buns but when I request no bun I still expect all the other things that come on a hamburger. I tried to call, no answer. Where is the onion, pickle and tomatoes? Very sad.
