This place was amazing. We paid our honor system payment and entered the incredibly informative museum. Judy(I hope that was her name) was full of historical knowledge you will not find anywhere else. The team is a true gem of historical knowledge. My 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed picking their brains and learning the secrets of the mountain. He is a mechanical and history buff. We had a great time. Thank you!

The ladies inside the museum were very knowledgeable and offered valuable insights which made the visit all the more interesting. They even offered to assist with our planning of future visits to Jackson so that we would be able to seen special attractions and make the most of our time. We also did the mine model tour, led by docent Gary, who was a wealth of information, and made the historic mine come alive. We look forward to returning to Amador County, and would be thrilled to visit both of these exhibits again.

Casa museo di metà Ottocento perfettamente conservata e locale con fotografie, attrezzi e modellini (scala 1:12) di parti della miniera (attrezzature per disintegrare rocce e per trasportarle in superficie). Molto curato e interessante. I due volontari che ci hanno fatto fare la visita guidata sono appassionati e coinvolgenti. Assolutamente da visitare.. perché la California è quella che è anche perché è stata il Golden State!
