The new owners are great, they have the store the way it should be, very clean and all organized so nicely. The store is Brite, with nice lighting and the prices are fantastic
(affordable like shopping at Walmart). I think the cashier is a total sweetheart, it's nice to go in and shop.

I only left one star because I had to to leave a review. My actual rating
(-)infinity. I have not been in for over 2 years and will never return. My last experience there I bought a few items and upon returning home I realized the juice cap was broken. I went back to exchange it and she accused me of breaking it and returning it. I respectfully tried to explain that if I had broken it I would have kept it because I would have known that no bacteria had grown. Because I did not break it, I returned it to protect my family from possibly getting sick. I’m a business owner and understand the cost of running a business and would never cheat anyone. She continued to accuse me of being a liar. As I left I told her myself and my extended family would never be shopping there again. She said, and I quote, “F*ck you and F*ck your mother to H*ll!” Yup, true story. Horrible woman and this place actually smells like rotting flesh.

Did not feel welcomed in this store. The person who I would assume owns it or maybe just runs it followed us around like we were going to shop lift or something. I'm not sure what she thought because all we had in our hands were out keys and our debit cards, no bags. It was very uncomfortable. The prices were extremely high and the store just smelled like things were rotting in the back. I will not return to this store even if I'm driving through and it is the only place open. I would rather keep on driving to the next town. This place is a hard pass for me.

The store is absolutely old and the prices are definitely what I would report as price gouging. The lady who owns it isn't very nice. She is ripping everyone off and what makes it worse is her demeanor. I will never go in there again.

I am saddened to read these reviews about a market that used to be well stocked, has a friendly atmosphere, many times saved me driving down the hill to Hemet or Temecula. A inhospitable owner, atmosphere, the butcher counter with unappetizing meat!!! My goodness what is happening there in Anza? What happened to the true country feel of the town I called home at one time
This it's time for someone with better understanding of the country way to buy out whomever owns the Anza Village Market now.. Perhaps some of the children of Anza's older families, like Cripe, Hamilton, Fredrick's, could buy them out and get a good butcher back in there as Richard had been...

For this little store being out in the middle of nowhere, it's good.

Funny story. I asked the guy working the register "what do people do out here?" At which he nodded and said, "I don't know. People live out here simply for the lifestyle of not being around other people."

The store is dingy and dirty and smells pretty bad. The mark up on items is pretty crazy like a bag of cereal for $9.99 when Winco has the same bag for $4.59. I guess if you're pretty desperate, Village Market will have to do.

Unfortunately the only store nearby. Had a terrible experience, owner/cashier (older asian women) was rude and very unprofessional. Need to work on her customer skills. I will never spend my money in this store again.
