How is it that the Apple store website has a tab/link to make a reservation at the Genius Bar, but you are never actually able to navigate your way to making one online? Third attempt this morning and the second in a week with no luck. Doesn't make sense to me!

First time I’ve been in Anchorage & needed a couple items I forgot to bring on my Alaska trip. The store wasn’t visible like most Apple stores, but each person I asked for directions (I was walking from my hotel) knew exactly where it was & happy to point me in the right direction. Once at the Apple store I was really appreciative of the quick expert help !

This would be a five star location had it not been for my initial experience, I was looking to replace my phone battery and the first person who helped me didn't even want to replace it since the battery health was still considered good (it was at 83%), instead she just wanted to sell me a new phone. Then she tried to talk me out of it since I wanted to continue and told me how risky it was and that I may need to buy a whole new phone anyways, which left me skeptical... of course since I came in after 5, I was told I would have to bring my phone in the next day. The actual battery change the following day was smooth. I dropped it off and Tony who helped me out apologized for the experience I had the previous day. He took the bad taste out of my mouth and assured me the success rate is 99.99. And overall I'm happy with my phone battery.

They really only sell new items here. If you're having issues with your password or account they point you to a lap top and say good luck. Or that you could just call a number instead of get help in store. It's a bummer they can't repair phones anymore, they get you to get a new one and sell your old one as refurbished.
I have switched over to samsung but still have to deal with the complicated password changing process. I've never had an issue with someone stealing my identity or account information, yet the only time I have trouble is when I try to initiate a change.

Currently sitting in store. Was being helped by representative who’s suddenly told me her lunch was coming up and needed to go. She put me back in the queue for another hour instead of staying and showing some actually customer service. They also went to go upgrade my phone threw their advertised program then after taking of my screen protectors told me instead of being free, it was actually going to be $11 a month for 2 years. After declining the offer because I was told it was going to be free then not I asked if she was going to replace my screen protector since they took it off. She said her manger would be happy to give me 10% off. How insulting. DO NOT COME HERE. If you need any type of decent customer service go somewhere else. Anywhere else but here.

EDIT: Left after 6 hours with wife hysterical and nothing but the run around and all of her files deleted. Dead relatives, dead friends, dogs, family, ect. All gone. Went home and after a few random ideas she actually got back into her apple account with everything restored! Lesson learned. If you value your information and personal security then DO NOT trust these people. Do it yourself or honestly go somewhere else. Like to the homeless camp. Someone there will definitely have more knowledge then any and all of the geniuses combined.

Great customer service, but what is an apple store worth if you can't fix the problem?! Spent 7hrs (no exaggeration) at this mall waiting on them to fix my phone. They were going to let me leave without testing whether they fixed it or not too. Very dissatisfied! If you can live with your phone issue, I would recommend that over trying to get it fixed at this apple store.
