Gorgeous scenery! I was expecting to beachcomb, but it was all rocks (smooth) and a shoreline barrier of kelp. Regardless, nice and clean beach to walk along the water. Great for groups and children. There is a lending library cabinet, too.

I miss this place so much. Alaska is so beautiful and this beach is no exception. Was very rocky but that was to be expected. Views were amazing with the blue mountains and calm waves. Homer is such a cozy town.

Our only beach here at Homer where you can walk, drive and watch mother nature at its best. Please keep Homer and the beach clean. Pick up your trash and pls remember the beach is not your ashtray. We the locals here @Homer HATE visitors that trash our hometown...

A nice, quiet place to get away from the crowds and tourist traps in the Homer Spit area.

We were there at low tide and were able to walk pretty far out on the sands. Also saw a bald eagle flying around, and perched on its favorite tree.

You can drive on the beach if you are brave enough to try your luck. I saw 3 local fishermen do that on their way to their favorite spots, but not my cup of tea.

I only spent a few days here in Homer.... but my time was almost always at this beach. Loved that I could pull the van onto the beach and that you could build a fire on the beach. Totally picturesque and good for the soul.
