Update: I think I was a little too harsh on this hospital. I do agree with most of what my review said but Camden Clark is much better than Morgantown Ruby Memorial.

I’m generally a go with the flow kind of guy. This hospital isn’t a hospital but a big waiting room to be transferred to another hospital according to a nurse. The night time language is obscene and unprofessional from the staff. Do yourself a favor and go to another hospital. You choose this place and you may not make it out alive if they don’t have another hospital available. Don’t get me wrong because there is 1 out of 50 nurses are descent and well trained. The others I would trust to give a simple shot or draw blood. I wish you best of luck if you do come here and I hope you get transferred quickly.

They treat their emergency room like a walk in clinic or an urgent care. If you're having a real emergency, go ANYWHERE else. I told my husband that next time, I'd rather suffer in the 30 minute car ride to Marietta Memorial where they at least treat emergencies with the urgency and care that is needed. I was running errands in Parkersburg with my husband (we live in Marietta) and I felt my electrolytes dropping (I had a heart transplant almost a year and a half ago and it's something I'm VERY aware of with my body). Low electrolytes are a symptom of heart failure so when I started feeling off I told my husband, we need the hospital. By the time we got to the emergency room my arm, leg and facial muscles had contracted to the point of intense pain and immobility (which I knew was going to happen, hence why I told him to go to the ER). When we arrived I was in so much pain, cannot speak because of the muscle contractions, nor walk. My husband got a wheelchair and was trying to explain the situation. Triage did not treat it like an emergency and took over a half hour to get me to a bed. When they did, they refused my husband to come with me because he was making a 'scene' (scared husband, worried about his wife's health and no one taking it seriously). I needed a magnesium infusion, which we told them , and it took 2 hours to actually receive what I needed. They kept me overnight, which was unnecessary and gave me double the infusion that I needed. They also moved my room 3 times for what seemed like no reason.

Went to ED expecting to wait a long time. I was in the waiting room less than 10 minutes. Nurses were great!! Doctor went over and above to accommodate my need for an iron infusion! Couldn’t have asked for better!! Great job CCMC!!

By the grace of God I ended up at Camden Clark. Which is almost 2 hours aways from my home. I am so grateful that I did. I have never in my life had such wonderful and compassionate care. Every staff member here in every department is the absolute best!!! If ever I need medical care, I will drive the distance to be in their hands. Thank you each and everyone from the bottom of my heart

This hospital and their staff are absolutely 💯 amazing. They were kind, professional, and quick with care. They treated husband and myself with great respect. They listened and was very attentive. Doctors took time to listen and explain labs, tests, etc. They were quick to respond and do tests needed. I believe their quick response saved my husband and I will forever be thankful. If there is ever any heart issues in the future, we will definitely make the trip there...we'll worth it!!!!!!

A hernia that requires surgery isn't constipation. To think of how much 2 trips to the er costs and a ambulance trip. To be gaslighted. Shame on you! Do better!!!

My husband came in and was very sick with double pneumonia May 10. The doctor he was assigned to took care of him the first day and then left town. He was in bad shape and most of our doctors are at Cleveland Clinic. We requested that he be transferred up there. Dr. Know-it-all who was filling in for the doctor that left said they could take care of him there! We made it clear that we wanted him transferred! So the Dr. told us he called CC and told them the family wanted him transferred, but they could take care of him there. So Cleveland Clinic refused him because the doctor refused to support the transfer. They held him there an additional 6 days and came in and said he needed to be transferred. But there were no beds available. By the next night they said he needed to be in intensive care but there were still no beds available. Finally the next morning, a bed became available but Cleveland was fogged in. They couldn’t transport him by ambulance because all his equipment couldn’t fit. Finally that afternoon they were able to life flight him up. Because of that doctors arrogance we lost 8 valuable days and on July 10 my husband died! Never go to Camden Clark! Go to BELPRE’s ER and have them transport you to Cleveland Clinic or OSU in Columbus. Stay out of these small town hospitals unless you want to die. Go where tge A team is!

The deadliest hospital I've ever been to, rampant with malpractice. I'd love to get ahold of a lawyer for a class action. I'd also love to find a lawyer willing to help people who were irreparably damaged by this hospital. Almost all of my loved ones have died here, and at least half of those deaths were probably preventable.
