I’ve visited SLO 6-7 times now and I try to stop by Captain Nemo’s while I’m there. Nemo’s is a game/comics/DVD store that is packed to the brim, while cheap thrills next door is a vintage record/ electronics store. They are both attached to each other. The staff at Nemo’s are fine. Usually behind the counter or stocking. Both of these stores are kinda old and dusty. Not super enticing to spend a lot of time in but they have a great selection and decent prices for the area. I’m a big D&D player and have got some great dice here and a few board games. They also sell loose magic cards and have an awesome D&D minis selection. They do different game events each night of the work. I’ve never been to any but I believe they do them in the building adjacent to Nemo’s. All in all it’s a great store if you want to peak around the vast shelves of games/comics/Dvds. Good place for gifts or that last minute game night.

This place is packed with all the memorabilia and relics ranging from music, electronics and games from the past 30 years. With constant foot traffic down aisles of merchandise, this place is perfect for treasure hunters. I found my booty, while most of it was eye candy. Thanks for the memories,

This store is amazing. They manage to pack a ton in here, including retro gaming, music, a massive movie collection, comics, and tabletop/board games. Staff were nice as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Staff are friendly. Very open minded and non-judgemental. They sell all sort of games. They have games from PS1 to PS5. They have Super Nintendo game, Nintendo 64 game, Game Boy game, xBox etc. They have a lot and a lot of music and movie cd/disc. They also have comic book. The card game they mainly focus on are Magic and Pokémon however they do sell YuGiOh blister pack as well. They have game night but you will have to find that out the time and day. Thre are also comic books and a lot of weird/unusual board game. They also wire/cable for all sort of console game. If your game console is missing a cable this is the place to go find it or if you're looking for a vintage music cd this is also a place to go.

We stopped at this shop because they have a wide variety of collectibles for any nerd lovers. There are cards, comics, DVDs, video games consoles and games, retro CD players and other retro items, records, etc. Despite the wide variety of items they keep the store well organized.

Absolutely fantastic location. Plenty of different options for every nerdy hobby. Solid prices on collectibles and the staff is always extremely helpful. If you are a casual, hard-core gamer, anime fan or A/V lover definitely give them a look!
