This company sent my client an agreement where she would have little to no ownership over the content they create, despite paying a significant amount. To make matters worse, she'd need prior approval just to use the content she's paying for. It's unacceptable for a business to charge so much while providing clients with such limited rights. Completely unethical.

I wanted to take a moment to warn potential clients about some concerning aspects of e•LocalLink's contract that you should be aware of before signing. After reviewing their contract thoroughly, I found some major red flags:

-> You won’t own the video content they create for you. Even though you’re paying for the video, e•LocalLink retains full ownership of the final product. This means you can't reproduce or redistribute the video for your own marketing campaigns or other uses without their express written permission. You're essentially renting your own video from them.

-> Your website is theirs, not yours. If they create a website for you, it will be hosted by them, and they will retain all ownership rights. You’re only allowed to use it during the contract period. Once your contract ends, unless you renew it, you’ll lose access to the website and all the work you’ve paid for.

-> Limited access to your own content. They provide you with a "Line of Code" to embed videos on your website, but this code expires after 15 months. After that, you may need to pay again to keep using the video, or lose access to it entirely.

In short, be very cautious before agreeing to these terms, as you could end up losing access to your own content if you don't continue paying for it. I highly recommend reading the fine print carefully.

They charge high fees then refuse to give you your paid product because you won’t sign on for even more stuff with them. I have asked many times for my video with edits and I have not been sent them. I paid upfront and now nothing. Worst business dealing ever. I don’t know how to get help from anyone there.
