I own a online ecommerce business. I hired Andrew to do my social media marketing. I don't have any experience in that space and my time was more valuable building the business side. During our first call Andrew seemed very knowledgeable and open, he had a lot of ideas and ambition so I felt he would be a good choice to help me grow my online business. We agreed on a monthly budget that we would scale each month with growth. I paid him his fee upfront for the first month and we were off. He promised he would be working daily changing the ads and tweaking them to build audiences and push traffic to the website.
The first week in a half or so he was on point, changing up ads and tweaking audiences here and there to get website traffic. He was very responsive to text questions and calls. After a few sales on different ads I feel he felt confident in those and got reckless with the budget as he would throw a lot of money into those ads to get sales (which it didn't). The last few weeks, I felt like I had to stay on him and ask about new ads and changing old ones up because I didn't see anything change with the ads for days. 5 days left of the first month that was already paid for, Andrew quit. He informed me that it was too much of a time commitment and I would need to up my budget for him to work with me. My first months budget was $1000. At approximately day 25 when he quit, ad spend was at $1124. He blew the budget and quit. I believe Andrew has knowledge in online marketing but not with ecommerce businesses.
