The worst place to shop.. the sales clerk refused to give us a bag to put our items in knowing that we were with 2 three year olds. She also told us to get the kids to be quiet!

Great selection of items, but one very rude staff member. I bought a lot of breakables, and was not able to fit them all into one cart. I asked if there was a place to put the cart that was out of the way, and she acted like it was an imposition. Then I filled up a second cart and she insinuated that my carts were taking up too much room, and was also loudly telling people that they were going to run out of carts. I asked her if she wanted me to put things back, since I was obviously causing a problem by buying too much, at which point another staff member intervened and said no, it was fine. At one point she had an item that I was purchasing behind the counter and dropped it, breaking the piece. When it was time to check out, she was complaining because they didn't have enough boxes, and got upset when I asked if they had newspaper or anything to wrap items. Then I had to wrap and box all of my own items, which took me about 1/2 hour, and when I ran out of wrap and boxes, asked her if I could get some of the recycled plastic bags. She said she needed them for other customers, but I told her the boxes were full and I needed them. She sighed and angrily plunked a handful of bags on the counter for me. She did ask a volunteer to find some more boxes, which he did (the same volunteer helped me load, thankfully). Overall her behavior made the shopping experience very unpleasant. She seemed more concerned with telling Alexa to change the music constantly than customer service, and her negativity was totally incongruent with her frequent comments about serving God. In addition, the carts were filthy, to the extent that I didn't want to put my purse in them. And when I pulled up to the side entrance to load up, I saw pieces of furniture sitting outside with "sold" stickers, getting soaked in the rain, waiting to be picked up. Overall, some great finds, offset by a negative experience with one staff person.

I was 2nd @ the checkout line and the cashier kept checking out other people. I bought a toaster and a little bake oven from the second cashier. I went back to look at something else because the 3rd checkout cashier told me everything was half off because it was black Friday. I paid for a few more items they handed me my things from behind the counter. After I got home I noticed the baking tray was gone for the oven. And neither the toaster worked nor the oven. I wasn't impressed with any of their customer service attitudes. Nor was I happy how they packed everything into one sack folding the open package of loose leaf paper and putting the toaster and other things on top running the paper. Thanks have a good freaking day......

I've always been happy shopping there, but I'm done now..today and the last time I was there was very poor customer service. The lady that is supposedly the manager has wore out her welcome with us.. she really needs to be replaced.. cross ministries should seriously consider letting her go..her skills have expired for customer service..terrible skills dealing with customers..:(

I love going there and I have NEVER had a bad experience with any of the staff. In my opinion they are ALL courteous and helpful. That's one of my favorite places to go...

I would not have left this review except for when I expressed my disappointment at driving 30 minutes & their being closed when online it showed they were open... the woman interrupted me snapping “No Ma’am, it is posted on Scoop and our FB page that we are closed!” FYI people who don’t live in Osceola google the thrift store and they are Not directed to either scoop or FB. What they see shows their hours (Open!) and the website link goes nowhere.
Up until today 12/28/20 I have found the staff and store a great place to shop.

Had not been here for sometime. Was very clean and organized. Prices were comparable to the goodwill stores and some better. Book prices can't be beat. Nice lady working there.
