I don't go to Melcher-Dallas often but when I do I love to grab lunch at D&S. They have daily specials and great tasting food with the small town ambiance and friendly service that I love. Today's special was the guinea grinder and it was fantastic!

Nice little shop that had very good food!! The guys got us our food quickly and took care of us right before their closing time.

Our softball team of 15 people stopped in for ice cream and snacks. The 3 guys that were working took care of us faster than any other place we have stopped for food. Great ice cream and malts/shakes!!

This classic diner is located in D & S Grocery. It has everything you expect: older women wearing hairnets and calling customers by name, orange Formica booths, a big menu board with stick on menu items, florescent lighting and great food at very reasonable prices ($8.71 for my medium-rare, as ordered, cheeseburger, cottage fries and a small pop). If you don't need a meal, their ice cream is wonderful!

A nice little small town grocery store. A nice reasonably priced fresh meat counter, good basic produce, & most of the dry goods you would need. The attached dinner is excellent with a wide menu of sandwiches, breakfast, & daily specials. They also offer a variety of ice cream to satisfy that sweet tooth.
