We visited Dago Taiwanese Cuisine in Chino Hills and tried three dishes:

1. Popcorn Chicken with Rice (鹽酄雞é£Æ)
This was our favorite! The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the rice.

2. Noodle with Fried Pork Chop (Soup) (ē‚øꎒéŖØę¹Æéŗµ)
The pork chop was delicious. My son loves noodle soup, but not this one because the noodles were too soft and lacked the chewy texture. He did not want to eat any more. Hope the chef can improve the noodles to make the dish more enjoyable.

3. Hot and Sour Chicken with Rice (ꤒéŗ»é›žé£Æ)
The chicken was tasty, but the dipping sauce wasn’t to our taste. We found the dish better without the sauce.

Next time if we are in Chino Hills, we will definitely return to try more dishes.

The food here is close to authentic, but not quite there. For example, today I tried the pigs hocks (feet) because I had just returned from a trip to Taiwan and I had the same dish from an older eatery there. The taste was a bit stronger than in Taiwan, the textures are very different probably due to how long the hocks were stewed. This place has a very extensive food and drinks menu, which is similar to Taiwanese eateries in Taipei. Although it’s not as good as in Taiwan, but then again I didn’t need to fly 14 hours for an old fashion stewed pig’s hocks. It’s worth coming here as the food is fine, the service was very good and it’s located in our very own Chino Hills.

Update: tried something new today - Dago special oil dry noodle and fried pork intestines. Both were good.

At this authentic Taiwanese restaurant, customers can enjoy a variety of Taiwanese side dishes. In this review, I'll be focusing on the beef soup noodle and the service. The beef soup noodle dish was a decent size, with around four pieces of flavorful and tender beef. The soup base had a rich flavor with a slightly spicy kick. I particularly enjoyed the pickle that was served with the beef soup noodle. However, the vegetables in the beef soup were not up to par. The chopped vegetables were too small, and the cabbage (大ē™½čœ) was not an ideal choice for pairing with the heavy flavor of the soup base. Service was just fine, no table touching and service waw very normal.

My first and only visit to this restaurant. I didn’t know it’s about to close soon when I stepped in around 7:40pm. I stood at the counter, which is very close to its door, and left 3 feet of space for entrance. I didn’t know I had to take the seat by my own so I stood there and waited to order first and found my spot later. However, the guy took my order and didn’t even mention about they are about to close soon. I realized it about a minute after I sat down that he said my meal is ready to go. Meanwhile, some other customers were still having plenty of food on their table. Terrible service attitude and assume that customer knows everything. No more visit due to poor service even though their food has the taste of Taiwan.

The flavor was not authentic. Missing some flavor in some dish. However, I was disappointed with the texture of the rice, as it was undercooked and quite hard. Additionally, the vegetables seemed overly oily.

Finally a place where I can get some authentic Taiwanese food! My wife and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the friendly staff. We ended up ordering the house drunk chicken and rice, vermicelli noodle soup, salt and pepper squid, and the pickled cucumbers. They were all fantastic and even reminded my Taiwanese wife of home. Definitely will come back and explore the rest of the menu.

Pretty good Taiwanese food there. My friend recommended this small place and I like it. The place looked clean. There was no waiting line when we're there, maybe because it's passed lunch hour. We ordered few different foods, taste wise were pretty good, prices were okay. Plenty of parking outside.
