Shawn was extremely rude and unprofessional. I told him exactly what my client wanted (Control4 system update). When it was the day to talk to my client, I sat close and listened to the pitch. Shawn came back with a whole new system pushing over $20,000.

My client is wealthy and Shawn saw that and went all out on up-sales. My client was shocked and disappointed in me. It was my job to find someone to work on his existing system, and $10,000 was the budget.

I was very clear with Shawn and he ignored everything I asked him to work on and pitched a new system. My client wasn't looking for an overhaul, just an update to his current system

I called Shawn the next day to retry the original pitch.
As I'm talking to him over the phone, he cuts me off and says, "I make too much money for this" and he hung up on me.

This was a few years back, I lost a client over Shawn's BS.

I truly had a remarkable experience with Shawn @ DaVinci Media. Shawn is so accommodating and personable. You simply can't get that at the big blue box places. Extremely knowledgeable & does not try to oversell you. He's done this a long time and knows the business. He's honest & wants you to achieve that perfect sound. Let me just say I’ve been a audio enthusiast for quite sometime actually decades. Normally I know way more then the so called “expert” does or some youngster that just read the latest review. After years of dealing with local experts and regional big boxes it was refreshing to find a dealer that had my needs in mind and actually knew more then myself. Not only is his advice spot on but the equipment he represents is world class. His store front maybe modest but what is there is stellar and he can get demo equipment as needed if interested. Hi end audio is expensive and you can rely on Shawn to give you solid advice. He has actually talked me out of a purchases I was thinking of for a much better option many times for less cost. He is honest, actually listens to you and is a true enthusiast - how refreshing!
