Visiting this shop was such a lovely change from most shops I've encountered in my travels in "tourist" areas. It's filled with such beautiful and tasteful items that are displayed with great care. I recently visited Olga Amaral's Diamond Ridge Art Studio. I was drawn in and almost left as I figured things looked expensive, but unique- I debated, but I had time. So, as my husband was also shoppong elsewhere, I took my time and browsed. I never felt like she was eyeing me up or uncomfortable as the other review said. She asked if I wanted to look at something in the case and she sweetly showed me numerous items and let me try them on. I put one item aside and said I was very interested in that item. I picked out a few inexpensive items, but kept coming back to the unique small bear made out of a wooly mammoths tooth and silver. I tried on another one brighter but she and I both liked the first one best! So I made my purchases and left very happy! We were on our 50th wedding Anniversary trip! Three weeks in Alaska. I loved the trip and anxious to return. I will definitely pop in to see if she has another item I fall in love with! Patty Meyers from Minnesota!

Nice artwork but very expensive compared to the other gift shops selling similar items. I did not feel welcome walking into the store and the woman seemed irritated and glared at me from a corner. Considering there are so many lovely shops and employees working along the spit it was surprising.
