Ordered delivery through Uber Eats from Din Ho Chinese BBQ, I got the Soy Sauce Chicken and Egg Fried Rice, and both were fantastic.

The Soy Sauce Chicken was incredibly flavorful—tender, juicy, and soaked in that rich, savory soy glaze that makes you want to lick the container. You could tell it was freshly made, not overly salty like some places.

The Egg Fried Rice was the perfect match—light, fluffy, with just the right amount of egg and seasoning. It tasted like it came straight off a wok.

Delivery was smooth, food arrived hot, and portions were generous. Din Ho never misses. Highly recommend when you’re craving some solid Chinese food at home!

This place is a solid find! The space is spacious, clean, and has a cool vibe with fresh seafood tanks in the back—definitely adds a touch of authenticity. It’s set up family-style with those big round banquet tables, perfect for groups or a lively dinner with friends. Came here for Chinese New Year dinner.

Service was on point—super fast, both with taking our order and getting the food out. And let’s talk portions: they don’t skimp! Everything’s served in generous sizes, so you’ll definitely leave satisfied.

Presentation-wise, the dishes are a feast for the eyes. Taste-wise, it was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The roasted duck and pork belly were decent but didn’t quite hit the mark flavor-wise—maybe needed a bit more seasoning. That said, the eggplant clay pot was *chef’s kiss*—absolutely delicious. The chow fun was solid, and the fried fish? Oh man, that was a standout—crispy, flavorful, and totally dee-licious!

Overall, this is a pretty great spot for Chinese food in Austin. Not everything wowed me, but there’s enough here to make it worth a visit, especially if you’re craving some hearty, shareable dishes. 🥢🫖🍚🧧

If I can give half stars, I’d say this place is just a bit under 4 stars. Situated in a mall filled with Asian cuisine, Din Ho lies as a solid option for anyone craving a family style sit down meal. The food was decent albeit a bit hit or miss. Highlighting the meal was the barbecue pork belly which was juicy and crisped to perfection. The sautéed eggplant with beef was a welcome taste as well. Unfortunately, Din Ho struck out big on one of our favorite dishes (Chow Fun). The noodles were tough and the flavor was lacking all around. Lastly we ordered the fried flounder which did taste delicious although it did have a large amount of roe on it which was very unappetizing.

Altogether, Din Ho Chinese BBQ is a traditional Chinese restaurant that is a standout amongst Austin’s Chinese fare but does not hold up well against NYC or Bay Area’s cuisine of the same taste.

Fish fillet with black bean sauce cannot be made here?!

They have both ingredients but refuse to combine them even if I would pay a premium for it?! Wow, how Chinese restaurants have changed.

I’m just utterly disappointed and having had three restaurants of my own, it makes no sense to me BUT not my decision.

My decision is to no longer return 🙁

The Peking duck is pricey but very good and ordered flat rice noodles with beef and veg. Tastes similar to the Cantonese style restaurants in big cities. It definitely hit the spot. Will be back soon to try more dishes!

We've been a few times now and it's always good. Try the char sui pork wonton soup and fried crispy pork chop.

Visited Austin and visited after visiting other restaurants in this same location and decided to try Din Ho as I had not before but always wondered how it was.

I can only say that I can not believe I missed out on visiting much much sooner.

The food was so good. We got the orange chicken and the BBQ Combination, which were so good. Hot and flavorful, we could not stop eating.

The waitstaff was great and helpful.

I'm coming back, and when I do, I will definitely come back again to this restaurant.
