I've taken the online edition for about a year. I had to purchase the Dothan Eagle to access the Tribune. However, there was very little local content, if any, and it was very difficult to navigate to just the Eufaula news, so I decided to cancel. Of course I was unable to cancel online but had to call the office. I had to listen to the whole spiel about discounts and lowering my cost (why don't they just lower the price to begin with?) and this and that and finally had to get rude just to get my subscription canceled. It's a shame what's happened to our local paper. Yes, we all complained about it when Joel Smith published it, but we always looked forward to the local gossip and local happenings. And if one needed to do any business with the paper, a phone call would connect you with a live person in the office in Eufaula, or better yet, you could just stop in and talk to Joel. Now there's very little local news, the people you talk with at the office barely speak English, and Eufaula has lost what was an integral part of our small town life.

The Eufaula Tribune used to be a staple in our town. Unfortunately, it has failed to keep up with the times and I wasn’t aware that it was still even open. There has been no reporting on local news from this establishment in years. I hate to see this establishment die out, but unfortunately with how the new owners have managed it that is it’s fate.
