This little dinner is tucked in downtown Onawa. We blown away at the food and service. With dinner's you never know. Clean and very charming.

This is Amazing FOOD!!!
Homestyle cooking and the place in clean big, and I really enjoyed my breakfast and The Waitress was respeful and polite. I highly recommend this Establishment to anyone. Meat lovers

First off, they do serve breakfast all day. The first time we came here we didnt know and had to chance it. The place is very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room with the seating for us to bring our double stroller. Wheelchairs would also fit easily. Food it great. Only way to describe it is that it tastes like grandma's cooking (the grandma that's a good cook haha).

The town looked deserted, but when we walked in, Frannies was PACKED! The place is clean & bright, amazing! Food is delicious and the staff is top notch! So glad we stopped!

My wife and I stopped here for some breakfast/lunch after leaving Sioux City and wanting to get out of the city before getting something to eat. We were headed south and looked up places to eat and this place came up and we decided to try it. We love eating at places other than commercialized fast food if we can help it, like McDonalds, or Hardee’s and such.

This place was a hidden gem for sure! It’s past all the interstate business about a mile or so into the small town so we knew this was gonna be a local spot for sure. The construction in the town almost makes it look like nothing is open and the town is deserted but it is not! The only thing that caught our eye was the little open neon sign in the front of the store and that let us know we should be in luck. There looks to be a parking lot behind the store but we parked at the end of the street by the railroad tracks and walked down. It’s a very nice feeling small town.

When we walked in we were greeted and asked to set anywhere so we did. We were told they serve breakfast all day and that was awesome because by the time we got there from leaving our hotel which did not serve breakfast was about 11-11:30am.

I got the hungry farmer omelette with hash browns and muffin toast. I had never heard of it before and the waitress said it was like toast but it was English muffin and recommended it. I’m sure glad I ordered it. Best toast I’ve had with any breakfast! My wife got the hot hamburger to try something new and loved it but it was so much food! The prices are very low compared to where we had been getting food around major tourist spots. 10/10 definitely recommend!

I ordered my favorite crispy chicken ranch wrap ‘to go’ today. When I got home, I found this in my bag. Wow! What an uplifting comment to make my day one to remember!

Frannie’s is THE BEST hometown cafe I have been to! The service is impeccable. The food is outstanding. The prices are so reasonable. My favorite is their daily specials! Such a treat to have Frannie’s in my town!

Tasteful, spacious hometown cafe with historical photos and seasonal decor. You can get half of the hot roast beef sandwich if you have a small appetite. Nice & clean atmosphere!

Frannies is true down home country cooking! The best pies anywhere and known for her roast beef dinners. Breakfast is a must and the atmosphere is great! They serve fast, the staff is great! If it’s full on a weekend (or weekday), don’t panic - the wait time is usually short.
