I applied at the beginning of the year 2025. Was told that they have didn’t have much available at the moment. However they have signs claiming that they need part time employees for $18 an hour and others that they need forklift operators. However I have not been called for any of these jobs. I’m a highly qualified individual with work experience in labor fields as well as sales. I have communication skills, computer knowledge and I’m also bilingual. Yet, they can’t place me in any of their jobs. The receptionist is rude and talks down to people. She has a problem listening to people. The recruiter I’ve spoke with Chris is also rude and speaks down to people. I made a mistake in one of the names of the companies they work with and she felt she would use that to down talk to me. Then all of the sudden she had to rush to get off the phone supposedly because she had an appointment coming in. Yet I’ve made attempts to make appointments with her and I can’t get one.

This place comes across as one of those that functions as a revolving doors of employment.

So the reason I gave a 3 star rating is because of the front desk initially she looked irritated and very annoyed she spoke with a harsh tone if you do not like working with people then don't work there after I finished my app she told me sit down in that room and someone will help you a blonde lady came out with glasses and was very nice had a pleasant tone and felt welcoming she explained the process told me to have a nice day I offered a hand shake and without hesitation she welcomed the hand shake they need more people like her in the front desk I understand all of the bad rating now but if you pass the front desk you will be greeted with better manner people

Applied many time, was never offered any positions. Was told someone will reach out to me they never did. While waiting for recruiter I hear them offering jobs to the person before me, once it was my turn I was told no jobs were available . Big waist of time.

Update: I have seen multiple jobs recently which I applied to, called and emailed about (am overqualified but desperate) and no response from the staff just brushing me off saying they will get back to me which doesn’t happen. The front desk are rude especially if you are not a native English speaker, I can no longer recommend

Based on my experience I must say Gage has been very helpful to me in my job hunt. I explained my situation and what I was seeking and Julie did her best to find a contract that suited my needs. I appreciate everything she has done for me as a client and hope to continue our relationship with other opportunities in the future.

I have referred and taken many people to Gage for employment. Janet Torres-Mcmiller has been such a great help. She always remains Professional and really shows she cares and wants to help. There's one lady in the front that was very rude, but once they got to Janet, it made the process much better. I look forward to being able to help others find employment with your company. Once we get to the staff that care about the applicants and get passed the ones that are bothered by them.

This is the worst agency in the Reading area. I applied with Gage years ago and NEVER received a phone call or job opportunity. I have called the office and requested to speak with a recruiter about several jobs, in which I was definitely qualified. I was told that I had to wait for someone to contact me. Well.. it's been at least 3 years. I've been able to get a hold of a few people in Gage and they verified that, yes, they had my resume on file. To me, this company must be discriminating based on some information. They hold contracts in the area with some of the most recognizeable companies such as RM Palmer and others. My suggestion would be to not use this agency and waste your valuable time. Elwood Staffing, Aerotek and the rest are worth looking into.
