When we walked into the store yesterday, all of the employees were sitting at the tables on their phones, looked at us and then went back to looking at their phones until one guy finally got up to help us. We went in to get our service address changed, but bro just changed our billing address to a completely unrelated address. Now we have to go back to actually get our service address changed.

They don't send you a bill. it you want a paper bill it's $2,50 which I guess is the going price. I'll pay it to keep current. they don't send a bill through email either, just cut you off with no warning. For $124,72. a month I expect better. Even though my balance was zero...The last email I got from them was this, "We’re sorry to say there was a problem with your recent payment and it was not processed". anyhow I wound up having to call them. luckily I was able to speak to someone that speaks english without an accent....

Terrible Customer Support on account closed in good standing.

I needed a previous account statement from back when my account was active. I could not log into my online account anymore because my service was no longer active.

I called to get into my account and despite having all of my account information available they said I would have to wait 30 days for the information to be sent to me and there would be no way to access it online or to expedite the process.

I could understand a day or two but 30 days is ridiculous. I paid every bill on time and closed my account in good standing. All emailed invoices truncate information and I needed a non-truncated version.

It should not take 30 days to get access to information that I am locked out of through no fault of my own.

GCI used to be the most reliable internet in Juneau, but now you can't even get a 2 minute Facebook reel or TikTok to play without service interruption. Also, we keep getting messages that our "data" has been used up? I guess I misunderstood the purpose of purchasing a home internet subscription. I always believed it was because it didn't require measuring data like a cell phone. Such a bummer. Please come to Juneau StarLink!

After a $400 equipment investment, Starlink crushes GCI out here at Lena.

GCI is twice the cost, worst customer service.. A third-rate call center in Pakistan would be more helpful.

Bottomline, the GCI stranglehold is just a bad option you do not need to choose.

GCI used to be great, when they were located in Alaska and the customer service was anchorage based. Great help, no waiting online or in a que on the phone. Ever since they outsourced their crap to India it’s trash. Shouldn’t change the internet or phone but for some reason everything’s changed. Internet goes out all the time here in Juneau. Understand things happen , but this has become extreme. It’s disappointing things have changed here because they used to be great. Calling people in India who don’t understand you or you don’t understand them (yes it’s India got off the phone tonight with a lady whom said she was in india). Come on GCI do better. Looks like starlink or acs are next up , face palm.

GCI charges way too much for their crappy broadband, and they will never send you a bill and will shut off your internet with no notice. When I had service in Sitka Alaska the girl at the counter was so rude to me that I closed my account right then and there. Unfortunately where I live we have no other option for internet services, but I sure will be lobbying the other companies to open up in our neighborhood. In summary, GCI sucked, sucks, and will forever suck.

Absolute horrible customer service. Set up service and install for a Friday morning. They no show or no call for the appointment they missed.. I lost an entire day pay waiting for them to show.. this is the worst company ever.. there customer service is some other country so you can’t even understand what they say.. absolutely horrible company
