This Goodwill is everything that you want in one! It has a nice variety of things that are reasonably priced and nothing that is broken. The sections are well defined and not cluttered. They have displays of seasonal item like fall and Halloween. The layout encourages browsing. The bathroom was clean and stocked. The staff were helpful and friendly.

GOLDMINE! This Goodwill is the best in all Iowa. No joke, I have been all over the state to compare. The inventory is clean and the store does not have that musty smell when you first walk in. The product selection is comparable to a retail store inventory aka Walmart, the only other retail store in town. Also, the inventory rotates daily with a constant flow of new product being introduced. Example, the shoe selection is mostly new and recognized brands priced 2.99-7.99. The prices have gone up a bit due to the nation's inflation of 2025, in comparison the used items are still a deal. Most pricing is cut in half of the regular retail. With their new inventory stock, the pricing is the same as retail pricing. No bargain but availability of the type of product is there if a person does not want to drive 30 to Iowa City. The Manager is approachable
and willing to solve concerns. The staff is nice and helpful, no lazy employees. Bottom line is this is the best Goodwill store in the state, hands down.

This is my go-to store before I look at any regular retailer. In fact, this is the best Goodwill in the Washington/Iowa City area! It is well known for that very thing. The store is always clean, has a great selection of items that are fairly priced, attractively displayed, and is staffed by friendly, helpful employees. They need to somehow redo the HyVee slogan, “There’s a helpful smile in every isle” and recreate it into something that reflects the atmosphere and service in the store!

It was one of the cleanest Goodwill stores we have ever been to so wonderfully organized you would have thought it was a high dollar store. Very very organized. The only thing was a checkout we were asked if we wanted to donate the change to an organization that they support. That personally goes against my grain because Goodwill is not a charitable organization it is a for-profit operation. So that set wrong with me but my partner donated her 87 cents change. Otherwise the store was impeccable.

Love our local GW! Everything is well organized, the cashier was pleasant & making sure everyone who entered was masked, she also let us know the carts & baskets were sanitized. So glad they were able to reopen!

The store itself is pretty clean, but the bathroom was gross. The toilet seat was literally falling off and the room had an unpleasant smell to it. Beyond that, their brick-a-brack seemed a bit overpriced for a second hand store. I tend to see this more in rural locations, but every manager priced things differently. Overall, a pretty average thrift store experience.

Cashier over charged me and I explained to her, that my total wasn't right and she said no it's right and I said NO its not. Did she try to help me? NO, so I asked for a manger and yep she over charged me $11.87. Check your receipt or pay attention when they're ring you up!!!!
