I haven't been in here for a couple years and the place has changed a lot! It's cleaner and more organized. The first thing I noticed was staff attitude. The staff is much friendlier than I remember. That's actually why I stopped going in. Last time I visited I waited for 5+ minutes at register before I was acknowledged.
This time I was greeted immediately and told it was 99¢ day. Didn't even know that was a thing. I picked up a nice pair of shoes for a dollar:)
When I was ready the woman came right to the counter. 2 bags of things for less that $20. Impressive.
This GoodWill beats the cedar falls store by miles. Good ups, Waverly.
I'll do the drive and come back here.

My wife and I went in a few days ago and the place looks so different. things were easier to find and the prices were reasonable. The woman at the counter was very friendly and thoughtful as well. We purchased several books and she seemed excited about one book specifically. She was easy in conversation and even gave us a pin with books on it. It was refreshing to have a charismatic employee.
We were impressed by the store update and the friendliness of staff. would recommend this goodwill to others.

Recently the prices at this goodwill have drastically went up. Not sure if it’s because the recent renovation. There was a homegoods item that still had the tag on it and goodwill priced it higher than the original tag. Almost every item was priced $9+ besides clothing. This used to be my favorite goodwill and now I won’t even waste my time going.

Hands down, the BEST Goodwill in all of Eastern Iowa! This place is at the epicenter of antiquities! If you're going to any other Goodwill in Blackhawk County, you probably should have come here first!

I recently visited the Waverly Goodwill store and was blown away by the incredible variety of items they have. From clothing to home goods, I found everything I was looking for and more. The prices are unbeatable, making it easy to find great deals on quality items.

The store manager was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The store was clean, well-organized, and it was easy to browse through the different sections.

I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for great bargains and a pleasant shopping experience.

This is an update to my review. I've changed the rating from 1 star to 5 stars as my last experience at this store was exceptional. I met the lead at the store whom I had the previous issue with and she apologized for what happened. We all have bad days and she was very apologetic regarding my previous concerns and thanked me for my honest review. I appreciate her reaching out and saying something to me. That does not ever happen. Super helpful and kind the last time we spoke. Still my favorite Goodwill store in the area. Very clean and always has great deals for resellers like myself.

Good working staff. Zero management control or regards for the store. It was brought up to management that an employee worked for multiple years with no raise at all. Fired within the week. An employee took their sweatshirt off in the start of their shift after it got dirty. Placed it in a bag and put it under the register. At the end of the day they took their sweatshirt home. Fired. Both were fired for theft. Shop somewhere where they treat employees beter. They replied: Goodwill reached out. You can read that below. They want me to contact Michelle. Michelle is part of the problem. Along with Crystal and Jeff. A woman worked 5 years with no raises. Supposed to be a raise every year. Brought up to management and she was fired for theft. Another worker was fired for theft for putting her on sweatshirt in a good will bag so it doesn't get dirty. I'm a veteran. This company claims they hire good working people. I will inform others and veterans. No phone call necessary.
