Headland Town Square is a charming place that captures the essence of small-town Alabama. The massive Oak trees are absolutely beautiful.

I recently attended a live music event called “Under the Oaks”.

The square is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery, well-kept pathways, and inviting seating areas. It’s a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, a relaxing afternoon with a book, enjoying the scenic surroundings, or to use for a photo background. Very natural. The community spirit is evident, and it’s clear that we locals take pride in our town.

The square also hosts regular events and farmers markets, adding to its charm. It’s always nice to see families and friends gathering, enjoying the offerings, and supporting local vendors.

Parking is convenient, but during an event get there early unless you don’t mind walking from the First Baptist Church parking lot. The walk from the church isn’t long, probably less than 400 yards. Other parking is available along the streets and in the Headland National Bank parking lot.

It’s clean and safe. During events, they bring in a nice portable bathroom.

Headland Town Square is a gem worth visiting. Its setting, friendly community, and diverse offerings make it a standout destination for both locals and visitors. We were there for the Headland Harvest Festival and really enjoyed ourselves. Sadly, we missed the Friday night music on the square.

The Velcro Pygmies gave a wonderful performance. Love the oldies music. They stand for freedom and the American soldiers . Hope to see them again next year. Thank you to the City of Headland and the local sponsors who make these concerts possible .

Probably the prettiest town square in the southeast, besides maybe Abbeville. It has all the accoutrements of a small southern town square. Little restaurants, antique stores, and other businesses running out of the 100 year old brick row buildings. The smell of peanuts is in the air year round. The little park inside the square is always pretty and well kept too! It’s not a recent development either. I’ve lived in the area for 21 years and it has largely stayed the same throughout that time.
