If you're new to Homer then you need to make Homer Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center your first stop.

The employees are very polite and knowledgeable of the area. There are plenty of brochures to take with you including a certificate for reaching the end of the road.

This is more of an information stop, so you'll need to save the restroom and food stop for another location.

I recently participated In the derby. It's been a few years due to some medical issues. There have been some changes. The best one is Tim on the radio calling out prizes and fish caught. He has a natural talent for radio and kept the derby entertaining. Especially the "dad jokes". It's an important event for the community and starts the season off right. Keep up the good work! And keep Tim involved.

The woman would not answer any of our questions. She continued to talk about what she wanted and places we had already been. We were inquiring about a famous tourist area to which she made us feel like stupid tourists in Homer.

Re: Homer Trolley ....😖
am enjoying extended stay at Heritage RV Park on Homer Spit: however, am surprised at outrageous $ 15 per day charge for fare on said town trolley .... the reason I'm sure, that it is empty 90% of the time : rarely in 12 years of full time travel have I seen more than than average fare of $5 - 6$ per round trip on local tourist shuttles.... i question the judgement of whomever responsible for this price gouge ... regards, M
