Officer tailgated me for 15 miles then pulled me over. How do I know he did this? Because he told me. He's got nothing better to do in the middle of boring Iowa then to tailgate somebody from out of state who he knows won't fight the ticket.

Officers should be there to ASSIST people, not meet ticket quotas.

Disgusting. This is why people are turning against cops. Terrible. Just widening the rift between normal folks and the power tripping idiots with badges. Absolutely despicable behavior by this state patrol member

We left a day early from Denver to NE to MN to visit family for Christmas. We got stuck in a ground blizzard when our car went dark right before Clear Lake. It was -11 with a windshield of about -40. With 5 animals, I frantically threw blankets over all our animals and called 911. I was frantic and distraught & thought about our demise. Trooper Mitchell Williams #255 saved us all & got my car towed. There are not enough words to express how grateful we are for all service workers, 911 dispatchers and for Trooper Williams! You are our heroes!

Was traveling through Iowa last weekend for a buddy's wedding when I came across a highway patrolman changing the tire for an elderly couple that had some extremely bad luck. The officer could have simply called a tow truck but instead did the dirty work while the couple looked on. Nice touch, guys!!

These guys are not just about "handing out tickets". One early, and cold, Sunday morning I hit a deer just south of Clear Lake (District 8 territory). The trooper (and dispatcher that took the accident report) not only helped find a tow company, the trooper also stopped by a few few time to to make sure I was doing OK (while I waited a few hours for a towing company ).
