This Jewel has been the reliable location my family has gone too for years, since I was small. My parents use to do most, in not all, of their grocery shopping at this Jewel Osco because of it's stock choices and availability, it's convenient location, it's friendly workers. It's also got a helpful pharmacy, bakery, and deli with plenty of fresh choices.
Jewel in general I find taxes all of their products significantly, which is why my family switched to shopping at others stores years ago... A $9.99 bottle of Gain laundry detergent at Target is $14.99 at Jewel Osco. That's just a single example but come in and scan everything with the Target app and you'll notice Jewel adds $3 or so to everything..
This review is about the shopping location and the store experience, not about Jewel as a company. So I'll still rate the store 4 Stars. It would be nice to have more readily available staff, but that's stores these days. But the store could encourage their staff to be a bit more engaging. I do like the fact that this store has CASHIERS! PLURAL! The Jewel Osco on Roselle only ever has the self checkouts .. which I hate Jewel's version of self checkouts, they're so punishing and talkative.
EMPLOYEES- You're doing well, just engage with customers more often. It'll make work less work and more fun and rewarding, I promise.

Jewel is really the place I call the "neighborhood store." I see how much effort the employees put towards organizing and stocking the store full of the best values you can find. The U digital coupons are really over the top when it comes to saving money on the basics. If you look around, And the deals at the meat department, my goodness. My family has never eaten so well. Even when I travel to other countries, I miss my local Jewel. There's always something on sale.

No one beats Jewel for quality and price. I do all of my grocery shopping here, including the pharmacy for all my prescriptions. It's 3 blocks away from my home. Actually, that was one of the best things about my recent move to my new home, having Jewel real close. Keep up the great work, you have an excellent team, and Excellent prices!

very poor skills from the management they should hired someone with better judgment of caracter.
Returns without receipt should be at least credit from the store, don't argue with customer very unprofessional.

DONT BUY OR SHOP JEWEL.
Employees are good people here and most jewels. Managers manipulate and degrade and harm people rather than help at jewel stores. Store managers are even worse especially here. Terrible prices and awful store managers that are just incapable of treating people like humans. DONT BUY AND DONT SHOP JEWEL.

Happy Place where you can buy Refrozen Ice Cream Cakes for $19.99. Store manager doesn’t seem to be concerned about health issue or this negative review. Whole fridge next to the registers is full of half melted cakes after the last power outage in Schamburg.

Prices are over inflated. Why do they stock the store during business hours? Why can't they do this task BEFORE the store opens. So tired of constantly having to navigate through people stocking just to shop. Jewel Osco is a continous disappointment.

My new favorite Jewel by work! Fast lines, very big, full Osco side and alcohol section with a pharmacy and a TCF bank with ATM. Always plenty of parking and carts and baskets. Large health and beauty section too!
