Store has liquidation starting at 20%, has some good amount of stuff still and staff is pulling out inventory from the back to put on the sales floor. Make sure to bring ur own bags because they ran out of bags at checkout.

I am looking for some clothes for a project. JOANN Fabric and Crafts is the first store in my mind. The store looks great on the outside but dated inside. Some of the shelves are pretty empty. I did find what I was looking for, and I’m happy! The workers are nice and helpful too!

Wow, this store is a mess.
Messy and unorganized is the best way to describe this location on Arden. The fabric bolts are hanging onto the floor in many areas. The thread is rarely fully stocked.(Imagine the toy aisle in the thrift store).I have come in a number of times to get simple thread colors and at least 40-50% of the thread displays are empty. Although this is close to home and I am an optimistic, I always end up driving to the Citrus Heights location to get what I need. (That location is pristine). Adding to the distaste for this location the floors are dirtier and rarely mopped and the front doors look like something from a busy bus terminal that never gets cleaned.
Do yourself a favor and go the distance to the other Joann’s store and get what you need when you need it.

This is a fabric store where you are unable to buy fabric.

The counter where fabric is cut is perennially closed due to insufficient staffing. You can place orders online for pickup, but that defeats the purpose of going to a store, since you can’t look at it or feel it before purchasing. I suppose you could go to the store and try to weed through it by yourself, then go home, order it online, and then drive back, but that’s generally not how stores work. The employees seem nice enough, poor staffing isn’t their fault.

We ended up going to a random local fabric shop. The process of cutting our fabric took fifteen seconds.

The employees at this location are doing their best, but their corporate bosses aren't hiring or scheduling enough staff to keep up with the stock or the customers.

Multiple aisles were blocked by boxes, and I'm pretty sure that's a fire code violation. The store looked like it had been ransacked. Despite all the boxes all over the floor, about 1/4 of the shelves were bare. I couldn't find anything easily because few things were in their sections. I only saw 3 employees - one on register, one on the cutting counter, and one on the floor. It was noon on a weekend.

Joanne's corporate offices, stop being so greedy and hire more staff to keep your stores running.

I feel sad for the employees because it's evident that they are doing their best; they are always super kind and patient. However, it's clear that they are understaffed. The wait times to purchase or pick up items are ridiculous. It seems that management, or corporate, doesn’t value the store at all. The store is a walking hazard, with boxes, end caps, and displays blocking the aisles, making it difficult to navigate. The shelves are never fully stocked, and everything is scattered and disorganized. It feels like you have to sift through items to find what you need.

Great! They had super nice and helpful employees and a really good selection of craft materials. They had at least 10 or 15 different glue guns, and a huge sale on Christmas ornaments. Overall, great experience and I'm a happy customer!
