I'm a painting contractor and have advertised on KVOA. My rep Cindy was the greatest, and in general I was impressed with the staff. I'm a tiny source of revenue and yet the general manager came out and spoke with me. TV ads are EXPENSIVE and the commercial needs to be thought out and well done. I'm still paying for mine and the ad is over. Best I can tell for a small business guy the trick is to run it, turn it off.. wait.... run it. Be careful about overspending. You will have to hunt around for your magic number of minimum spent / maximum returns. Thats the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I got in a bit deep - but am able to pay for it.

I just called and offered to send them a Pfizer executive saying very negative things about El Jabbo, He said, no thank you. This is not news, it is propaganda. To you that work there, a pay check is not worth your soul!

I submitted an important news tip to KVOA using their website. My tip was about a big community event for a local nonprofit for people with special needs. Ricky Vazquez at KVOA wrote me an email less than half an hour later, after 9pm on a Friday. Then, I asked Ricky for advice about our nonprofit fundraiser. He took time again to write a list of local Tucson resources that are exactly what I needed. Thanks, Ricky!

I also submitted my important news tip to every other local news organization that I could find. KVOA was the only that responded. This shows that they have an interest in the local community and that they want to publish the good news. They've earned five stars from me.
