When you lose a family member, it's always difficult no matter how much you think you are prepared. You are never repaired. After the passing of my mother, my father , sisters, brother-in-law and I met with John Leavitt that same afternoon. John was excellent in helping us with the choices that needed to be made. The day of the funeral mom looked great and the service received from John and his staff was excellent. We had the opportunity to have Mike C. be our family driver and he was excellent! I would strongly recommend Leavitt Funeral Services. John and Mike made us feel like they were taking care of one of their own family members. Thank you !

Leavitt Funeral home is a wonderful, kind, compassionate, family owned business. They were amazing during the horrific sudden loss of my husband at only 51 years old. They provide documentation for everything that needs done after the loss of a loved one. Stephen went above and beyond to help during the process, including bringing his emotional support dog Linx to comfort my kids. Sarah has continued to reach out to check on me. They truly care about their customers and go out of their way to make this horrible process as simple as possible!!!

My mother passed away while she was visiting me here in Texas. I wasn’t even sure how I would start to get her back home to West Virginia, but I called Leavitt because she had done preplanning there. Once I called them, I had nothing to worry about. Jon Leavitt took such good care of my mother, even though we had a lot of red tape to go through. He arranged for another funeral home here in Austin to pick up my mother‘s body and embalm her. We then had to wait to get her death certificate so they could get the permits to fly her back home. As you can imagine it’s a bureaucracy, but Jon never gave up. He called every day looking for them and I finally got a call on a Saturday afternoon that the permits had been obtained, her death certificate had been signed and she would be on a flight home on Tuesday. Jon handled all the that and for that, I am forever grateful. He arranged for the flight home plus arranged for someone to meet the plane in Columbus and pick my mother up. Once we got her home, my sisters and I met with the Jon and Chelsie to finish planning her funeral. Both were so kind and showed such compassion at such a difficult time for us. They were very helpful and I must say everyone at Leavitt treated us the same way. Chelsie took exceptional care of my Mom, and did a wonderful job. I would not hesitate to use them again and I highly recommend them to anyone. I can’t imagine what we would’ve had to do if we had not had Leavitt Funeral home and Jon Leavitt.

Leavitt Funeral Home did an amazing job of helping me through planning the funeral services for my aunt. Jordan made the process stress free and was always available to answer any questions . The staff is professional, knowledgeable and kind . They go above and beyond when helping families navigate such a difficult time. The staff made every effort to make sure arrangements were carried out exactly how we had discussed and they made sure to keep me informed of every step of the process. My family is deeply grateful for the compassion and kindness given to us at Leavitt Funeral Home during our time of grief.

Leavitt funeral home assisted our family after the loss of our father in 2020. They guided us through the process and were very compassionate and attentive to our loss and our needs. They provided live streaming for family who were unable to attend, helped us find a pastor and accommodated special burial arrangements. We returned to Leavitt for the passing of our mother in December 2024. She was residing in another state and we were able to work with Leavitt to arrange for her transport back to WV. Once again they were supportive of our loss and able to accommodate our needs. Everyone at Leavitt was kind, compassionate, helpful and supportive, which helped us get through a very difficult time. We were grateful for them and highly recommend.

My dad’s final service was prearranged and prepaid several years ago. My dad made all of the arrangements himself. Leavitt made sure that his arrangements were carried out exactly as he wanted. The staff was extremely professional and courteous. My family has worked with Leavitt several times over the years. Their service is top notch. They are the best at what they do. Very highly recommended.

My Step Dad passed away. I had Leavitt's funeral home to take care of my Step Dad I couldn't asked for anyone to helped me like Jordan l did at Leavitt's funeral home. They were so kind and caring to me. And they did a great job . Thank you Jordan for taking great care of me when I needed it . Leavitt's also took care if my mom almost 3 years ago. I wouldn't go any place else. Leavitt's funeral home is great.Leavitts is such a caring fantastic Funeral home.
