Customer service is rude. Gives no notification of billing changes constantly have downed internet due to “maintenance”

They have fallen behind on their installation of the cable that's been strung across my yard since March. The told me the cable would be buried in April. Well, it's May 13th. I called their customer support and a person cut me off mid-sentence and stated that they're really busy, blah . blah. Nothing but excuses, no action. Said she'll open a ticket for whatever that's worth. She did not seem to care, as I'm sure she gets these calls daily. When I initially signed up for service, they did not tell me that the cable would be exposed for months! Sneaky and deceiving. If I were you, I'd go find an established company in the area.

Update! : It has been 12 days and I have not lost connection one time. Speed is faster than any of my devices can keep up with. Great product!

Original review: New install for Ottumwa. Technicians were professional, knowledgeable, and very polite. Complete install of fiber and new 2Gbit service and router, no charge for the install or the router. Flat monthly rate with no hidden fees. So far, so good.
I switched as soon as MCG became available in my area.
Mediacom 1Gbit has always dropped 3-5 times per week minimum, requiring resets and sometimes 3-5 drops per day. I had tech support here from Mediacom once per year and they never could make my connection stable. Hoping MCG will be fast and stable, I like knowing the network isn't over-worked.

HUGE shout-out to the amazing Kayla in MCG tech support! I could not remember my wifi PW and, after calling the after hours tech support number, received a call back within 5 minutes. It was Kayla and she was fantastic! She helped me remember/retrieve my wifi PW and also showed me how to get it on my own via the awesome MCG app. Kayla was kind, funny, engaging, just lovely! I have used many internet companies - across the country and over the years - and MCG is far and away the best! Best customer service, best people, best quality, best everything.

Good service, they fixed my cord when the city cut it by accident but it’d be nice if I could have it buried. I’ve had MCG for about 14-15 months and my cord was buried for maybe 2 months

Exceedingly good internet service and a very fair price. My whole experience with MCG right from the beginning has been off the charts awesome. Easy to reach their local office here in Newton, Iowa and those folks have been consistently over the top helpful, the tech Jreyton, who came out did a superb and professional job of hooking us up to fiber optics and helped me get my IPhones, IPad, Landline and Televisions up and running. I highly recommend Mahaska Communications Group.

We lost service on Sunday. First, a member from tech support called back within 10 minutes. The issue could not be resolved so a member of their team came to our house and replaced the router the same day. This was exceptional service in my opinion!
