This place is amazing!!! I just bought a home in Benicia and am in the process of landscaping the entire yard. I was referred to Mid City Nursery by my landscaper and neighbor and they definitely sent me to the right place. I worked with Beth and I cannot recommend her enough!! Beth spent over two hours with me going through tons of different options and guiding me in the right direction. She talked me through the maintenance of each plant, showed me pictures of what they'd look like full grown/in bloom, answered all of my questions, listened to what I liked, provided recommendations based in knowledge, and was so incredibly kind and patient the entire time. Beth's passion for her job is clearly evident and her knowledge is unmatched - I am so impressed!! I had so much fun picking out all the plants for my new home and Mid City Nursery made the experience stress free. The employees loaded everything into my truck and were all so kind and helpful and even gave my pups some treats! Beth also reassured me that Mid City would be able to help guide me in the future as well if any of my plants fail to thrive - I'm positive that with their guidance my garden will flourish in no time. 100/10 experience - definitely recommend!! Also, Beth deserves a raise - that woman is awesome!! Love supporting local businesses and this one DEFINITELY deserves your business 🙂

Some of us are old enough to pre-date 'Big Box Stores'. As one who favors a knowledgeable plant resource, having Mid Cities Nursery nearby is a god-send!

Dare I say it is 'an Oasis' in a retail landscape otherwise cluttered with plebeian plant pretenders and posers!

Just walking around the beautifully put together layout of Mid City Nursery reflects their high quality store and business. if you walk all the way to the back of the store you would think you are in a nature garden or state park. Have Been to a lot of garden nurseries but mid city is among the best I’ve seen so far. They really take time in ordering from the best plant distributors and do an amazing job at caring for all of their inventory from little $5 plants on up to some of the really expensive trees and shrubs. You always get return/exchange if there are problems bet I’ve yet to have one. The customer service is really top notch and I’ve literally had staff take the time to give amazing gardening tips over the phone I almost felt I needed to pay for. Their team is the best at what they do. I’ve also found some rare indoor plants in their indoor greenhouse that I’ve never seen at Lowe’s or Home Depot. The owner and team her should feel really proud of such an amazing landmark they have made I hope it stays in business many many decades to come.

We had an exceptional experience at Mid City Nursery, thanks to John's outstanding assistance. He not only showed great knowledge but also went above and beyond to help us find alternatives when the specific plants we were looking for weren't in stock. John's suggestion of ordering them for us or waiting for a restock in a specific month demonstrated his dedication to customer satisfaction.

Notably, we were seeking specific plants with thorns for window deterrence, and John promptly recommended alternative options that were in stock, leading us to purchase four plants. To ensure the safe transport of our new green additions, John even provided a free potting soil bag to keep the plants from rolling around in my truck, showcasing his attention to detail and customer care. Despite our attempt to tip, he graciously declined.

The overall atmosphere at Mid City Nursery is fantastic, boasting a diverse selection of plants and a staff that genuinely cares. With such a positive experience, we'll undoubtedly be returning customers. Shopping here was an absolute pleasure, and John's exceptional customer service is a rare gem that sets this nursery apart.

Many thanks to John for helping me choose and guiding me on how to grow these plants. I love Mid City Nursery. Every time I pass by, I can't help but stop the car and take a look. The environment here is elegant and warm, and the layout is well-organized. There are very unique and diverse plant species. The owners make you feel very friendly, like you are a neighbor rather than doing business.

John and his staff have been here for decades and are always helping out. They are by far the best nursery I've been to. everytime I get plants or garden items this is the place, they guarentee there plants life. As you can see from there pictures below they have great plants. Thanks Mid City love you guys!

This place has become my favorite place in American Canyon. I came here, new to the state, looking for some citrus trees to plant in the backyard of our newly bought home. We haven't had much of a yard before, so I wasn't very knowledgeable on the do's and don't's of tree planting. This wasn't much of a problem though since literally every employee I encountered there was incredibly helpful.
Juan was the first person that I talked to and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. He offered me fruit from several trees to try and helped me narrow down what trees would work best with the soil and spots I had in my yard.
The trees were a big heavier than I could lift but Mid City Nursery offers delivery for only $10 for everything which is a steal! I also got 4 bags of good soil for the price of 3.
They unfortunately don't take American Express but there is an ATM down the street. I will update later with photos of our beautiful trees after they are delivered. Thank you, Mid City Nursery! You guys are the best!

There are so many trees and plants to choose from. They even have all kinds of grasses. Very reasonable prices, and the staff is great. Weekends are packed, so if you can go during the week, you should.
