Our family has had the most incredible experience with Alicia many times. We use her exclusively for our family photos and are always blown away by the way she captures us. Alicia is amazing! I signed up with her to take monthly photos at my shop of new products, events, etc and they always turn out better than I can imagine! Alicia comes in, does her thing, and in a few days I get a message saying your photos are ready! I love that she makes it easy-peasy and she knows just what to capture without me having to spend time thinking about it. I just leave it to her and she always impresses me. The photos are used for social media, website and more and they definitely elevate the look. Having such a wonderful selection of new photos monthly makes social media and advertising a breeze!

In my opinion, Alicia is THE BEST in Santa Cruz area. She went above and beyond for our family, squeezing in our session while my mom was in town. She even rushed our project through in time for a very special birthday present (thank you so much Alicia!!).

In terms of technical ability, Alicia captured our family in the most amazing light, both literally and figuratively. We weren't sure about the weather for the date we had picked when the evening came, but Alicia had a feeling it would be perfect- and she was right. What began as a damp, cloudy evening turned the sky aglow as the sun lowered below the cloud cover, and our backdrop misty and sparkly and magical in the golden hour. She gave us great advice about coordinating our clothing without looking awkwardly matchy-matchy which really helped the pictures look natural and unposed. In terms of edits, Alicia is an absolute genius with Photoshop, and in addition to whatever standards touch ups, went as far as to "fix" a set of closed eyes on one of our favorite photos as a surprise. We were ALL so pleased with the end result.

Getting photos taken of oneself can be uncomfortable, especially for those of us who aren't used to being in front of the camera - then add multiple people - it's a tall ask to get everyone feeling comfortable and relaxed! Alicia's confidence, enthusiasm, and warmth put all four of us - three generations - at ease. Not only was the end result just stellar, but the whole process was fun and memorable. Perhaps there are cheaper photographers out there, but I can certainly say that Alicia is worth her weight in gold, and she will be our family photographer as long as she is making pictures.

Read the photographer's contract! I can not stress this enough! We didn't read it because we've hired at least 4-5 other photographers in the past and never ran into any problems like we did with Alicia. $400 for a mini session, which yielded around 20 photos. Waited over 6 weeks even though we were verbally and in an email told 10-14 days. Very disappointed with the quality of the pics. Extremely low resolution. Some under 1MB, which is a joke for todays standards. The edits were lackluster, to say the least. I'd imagine any touch-ups cost extra, just like when we asked for higher resolution photos. We were told by Alicia that we have to pay extra or buy prints from her photo gallery to receive full resolution photos. She said the low resolution photos we received are perfect for social media and 5 x 7 prints. $400 down the drain.
