After seeing Gia's work on a friend's business website and reading great reviews, I felt confident hiring Neon Appeal for my website update project. However, my experience was not a positive one.

I initially reached out to Neon Appeal through the contact page on their website. I didn't get a response for a very long time. Still, when Gia did respond, she was apologetic and said she was available to discuss my project needs. I should have known then that communication and responding would be an issue. Still, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called anyway.

We met and discussed my project, needs, and goals. Gia is amazing at understanding her client's needs. She listened to my vision, adopted it, and helped expand it beyond what I was thinking. Her Ideas were powerful and I left the meeting excited with next steps.

Things took a turn for the worse from here. I received our agreement, sent the $400 deposit, and completed the tasks that Gia and her partner gave me. I gave them the permissions they needed to access my websites and expected the work to begin. The work never began.

Not only did the work never begin, Gia was terrible at communicating. I extended deadlines because I knew that she had a full plate, and I wasn't in a big hurry. But every deadline became a missed deadline, and after about six months of waiting and seeing no movement on the project, I canceled the agreement and asked for a refund of the $400 deposit. Gia tried to tell me they had been working on the site, but she didn't know that I changed some passwords a couple of months before I canceled the contract. I figured if they were working on the site, they would contact me about being unable to access it. She never did.

Initially, Gia didn't want to refund the deposit. Finally, she agreed to after I told her there had been no movement on the project. We agreed on a date she would refund the deposit. That date came and went. Gia has never refunded my deposit. Finally, in March of this year, a full year and a half after entering into the agreement, I decided to free myself from the stress of trying to collect a debt. I released the debt and the attachment to this project and am moving on. I wish Gia well on her projects; she is a fantastic artist, and I'm sad that I didn't get the results that other reviewers have realized.
