I have been here 4 times now and it is hands down my favorite restaurant ever!! The food and service are both so incredible, and I love the casual vibe combined with the elevated local, seasonal dishes and cocktails. Tonight my husband and I celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary here. We both absolutely love to cook and eat, so it's the perfect place to have a special date. The menu changes depending on what's fresh and seasonal so I won't really get into any specific dishes. Just try them!!!

The Odd Duck is a great dining option in Austin. As soon as you walk in, you feel the cool vibe and cozy atmosphere. Place was very busy on a Thursday evening when I had dinner with my nephew. I recommend making a reservation in advance.

The staff are very warm, friendly, and attentive. They are helpful in recommending items on the menu and as each course is served, they are very good about describing the dish in detail. Each of the dishes we tried had very unique flavors and textures, all extremely delicious! They also offer a large selection of cocktails and wines.

The Odd Duck is a place I highly recommend for celebrating a special occasion or a nice night out on the town with friends.

Odd Duck absolutely lived up to the hype, vibe-wise and food-wise. The service was phenomenal, but let me just cut to the chase—the cornbread with butter changed my life. Perfectly crispy crust, soft interior, and butter that must have been hand-delivered from the heavens. I’m still dreaming about it.

The quail was solid—good, but not a dish I’d trek across town for. Other dishes were also tasty, and the pickled veggies were a nice touch. I don’t think I’ve ever had a pickled olive before, but hey, I guess that’s why they call it Odd Duck. Definitely a spot I’d visit again, even if just for that life-altering cornbread.

The perfect way to end my trip to Austin! Odd Duck focuses on fresh, farm-to-table ingredients, and it shows. The rustic, farm-style ambiance adds to the experience.

I highly recommend going the family-style route to sample multiple dishes. The pork chop and stuffed quail were standouts! It was my first time trying quail, and it was delicious. The pork chop was served over congee with peaches, jalapeños, and other flavorful ingredients—a fantastic blend of savory and sweet.

The service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Highly recommend adding this place to your Austin dining list!

I visited Odd Duck for the first time to celebrate an anniversary, and it was quite pleasant. I usually do my research beforehand, and I have to agree with other reviewers—the cornbread is a must, and the wagyu burger is juicy, with the perfect tang from the pickled cabbage. Might be a personal preference, but the quail was too salty for me. Otherwise, the vibe is stylish yet laid-back, the cocktails are solid, and the service is decent. It’s a bit pricey, so absolutely worth it for a special night out!

Had a great birthday dinner there last night and highly recommend them for not only the delicious food but also the great service!! I'll try to list all the dishes and caption each but definitely get the cornbread. The tots (side for the steak) are also really really good. My fiance actually said both the corn bread and the tots were his favorite of the night lol. Can also recommend the pork chop and the fish, basically we didn't have anything we wouldn't order again.

Outstanding. A peak dining experience in Austin's South Lamar neighborhood. The wine list and cocktails were impressive, and the service and quality of food really set this spot apart. While all of the dishes were delicious and inventive, the Thai sweet potato salad we started with was a definite highlight - a perfectly balanced dish. Will be coming back and highly recommend without hesitation.

Love their dishes. Both taste and presentation are 👍. Also love how they bake the 🍕 inside the stone oven. Toss the pizza up and down to make it more crisp. The pasta is amazing. I love how the use the local ingredients to bring more favor to the dishes, specially the mint leaf!
