security sucks and constantly leaves the front and back gates wide open in the middle of the night instead of doing their jobs. they make it so difficult to enter as a visitor even when the homeowner lets them know they are expecting someone. Honestly absolutely absurd they have such ignorant and oblivious “security.”

Used to own a home in this place ,.. couldnt sell fast enough, more mail rules , more HOA fees and rules ,more everything, less quality and the place has a bug infestation problem with the trees ( lots of dead trees , and termites . Long and short of it . Welcome to escape from with mountain . Oh btw , if you like ridiculous water 💧 rates , frequent rolling black outs , price gouging for oil as there is no natural gas lines, one side allows cablewith one company internet connection, the other side of the road can only get satellite dish.. with the same said 1 company that provides your internet. Double whammy . One good weekend here with my family of 4 would cost me 250 - 300 dollars . Cheaper to get a Hotel ! Stay away from PENN ESTATES in E.Stroudsburg PA 18301

Back entrance is great during the night time especially during the weekend because everyone is using the front. It's usually clear after dark, however it has been pretty packed during the day at times, including holidays. Sometimes the line goes out to the road which then becomes a hazard to the drivers traveling on Hallet road. The Penn Estates sign and the small area around it is decorated seasonally, same with the front entrance, its simple but cute.

Nice area, but the gate was backed up. I guess that's what happens when you have good security and a few people that aren't ready for it.

Not as good as the front gate, cheaper attractions and a boring view. A second rate tourist attraction nestled in the mountains of our great Commonwealth. 😉
